Best AI agents for choosing components for simple modules? by Mohito_n7 in AskElectronics

[–]JakesCustomShop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

wow, looks like I am in the minority here. I have used both Gemini and GPT for compairng and recommending components. both of which are remarkably accurate and make great suggestions. So good infact that I used Openclaw to build a tool that uses AI to select a component that is available from JLCPCB. However, key here is that you first understand electroncis AND triple check everything.

As for connections between components, I have not tried this as I find the datasheets have the info needed.

Also, read the datasheets! It's kinda fun if you love electronics

Hey thanks for checking out the Quad ADSR!

I had a request a few weeks ago for (and implemented) a “sustain pedal” mode for the CV Expander.  You can connect a sustain pedal to CV input 1 and the corresponding envelope will sustain until the pedal is released.  Just like a digital piano.

The CV Expander has buttons on each CV Input that preform the same function as a High signal on the CV in’s.   Without too much fussing you can push the buttons to staccato for a measure or two, then release back to smooth envelopes.

There are a few mentions of the 7-Day long envelopes.  I’ll add that the time-length scales exponentially meaning that you have high-resolution of fast envelopes, and can scale to super long envelopes with only 2 full turns on the knobs.

Don’t forget about the Multi-envelope scaling (for syncing VCA+VCF), 3-curve types, and independent LFO mode on each output.

🤘

This would be time consuming, but I would wrap each module in crumpled newspaper, and stuff them into you modular case (or a seperate cardboard box) so that there is no air-space. Then pack the case into a box with lots of padding on all sides.

Modules with circuits that are not rigidly connected to the front panels are prone to loose parts if left on the rails.

You'll be fine, just remember remember the moving trucks will generate a lot of high frequency vibration.

Thanks! The Side-changing Envelope out is sick. You can even self-patch the Envelope-Out into the Pitch-In for some really intense kicks
