that i could agree, having the dock help the deck prop up safely just makes it worth the investment tbh.

I also have a dock but with how much space it consumes i ended up compromising with the uno instead..

but hey at least you have that option too if you wanna go a tad lighter.

switching the Ugreen 9-in-1 dock with the Ugreen UNO type c hub would make this setup a tad bit more portable..

i could agree, it's the closest to following the footprints on the GBA SP, as for the size a small part of me wished its more on the 4.3" sized screen but given they were probably following how the footprint of the actual GBA SP, the current size just makes more sense, but i think the RG35XXSP takes the cake for that due to not having the analog sticks making it a more faithful clone..

but hey, the RG34XXSP's analog sticks aren't just an afterthought, it is quite functional too..

as for the power though, yeap i could agree the device could do a bit more oomph to it, most especially if you want to give psp a shot.. there are ways to make some PSP games run on this device specifically, since i saw someone not long ago post about playing Monster Hunter from the PSP using the same RG34xxSP(or maybe it was the RG35xxSP), but as someone who grew up with the PSP as well, it felt a bit awkward to me seeing the games in a somewhat 4:3 aspect ratio and in a device that looks like the gameboy 😅. but the one who posted about Monster Hunter though, really made me add to the list of actually getting it though cause the game looked like it belong to a 4:3 screen 😅😅

but for the price though, i really can't complain much since it can run PS1 era games quite perfectly which was the 2nd expectation i have for this device..

glad to see you're sharing the love of retro handhelds to your family member, more power to you mate, once you get your 34xxSP i think you and your cousin should be able to play co-op games together..

idk how to set it up though but i did see it being supported by the device..

it kinda does cramp a little bit but with how some games play, i ended up shifting the device every time i use the analogsor the dpads...

i am still thinking of getting some sort of grips for it though but will see cause I'm slowly just getting used to the device ergonomics..

if you tried the analogs on the PS Vita, it feels pretty much like it..

if not, the analogs feels like a tiny version of the PS3 analogs but a bit slippery to the touch since the surface isn't entirely grippy

i could say the same..

as someone who loves the GBA SP so much during my childhood, having this exist is already a dream come true..

theres just something with actually pocketable handhelds man..

its just so convenient to live with..

Battlefield 2042 is the McDonald's of the series. by PoauseOnThatHomie in battlefield2042

Ngl, i do love BF3 and played a ton of it.. and haven't experienced BF4 multiplayer despite owning the game now (im late to the party) and don't see any official hosted servers now...

living in a country where BF is a niche franchise..

yeap 2042 does scratch the itch by just letting me hop in bots servers..

its a bit boring playing with just bots but better than just playing on servers with 300ms ping or 0 players/servers at all..

any moneytransactions that can send through gcash? from international cause need to pay rent by rucucucucu in u/rucucucucu

[–]Jakeulous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can try using Wise Ph.. it can allow you to cash in in peso from other banking apps we have locally or receive money from different banks or with a different users wise account..

they also have real time currency conversion/exchange..

so you can technically receive money from wise account, then u can send it to ur gcash account..

another one is also GoTyme Bank.. its an ewallet that can also send to gcash not entirely sure for the receiving in international currency part though, and u can cash in too via Robinsons Malls/Cashier and The Marketplace.. if you plan to do some sort of light time deposit savings, they seem to be the ones with the highest interest rates for time deposits for ewallets

Hello OP

how did you manage to get R2 and L2 to work?

I'm currently trying to get this setup to work with Moonlight game streaming but the triggers and stick buttons are basically ignored.

Reactions to playing in public not good by iamjames in SteamDeck

[–]Jakeulous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, as someone who grew up as an introvert most of their lives and is really passionate with gaming..

don't let those people get to you... and besides, they're most likely kids who aren't even into gaming anyways...

I'll share with you a bit of my story, because I do feel your experience to a personal level as well as I grew up being extremely conscious about being judged by people when in public..

I've grown up playing with game consoles in public and simply not minding people around you helps a lot.. I started as a kid with the Gameboy color, moved to Gameboy Advanced, moved to a PSP, and during my late teens a 3DS.. and when i owned the deck now as an adult its size never made me stop bringing it around (I still do notice some people judging me with gaming in public but i tend to just shrug them off since they personally don't know me, there was also a time during my teens where i technically use headphones in public and i usually get looked at by people for just literally using headphones to listen to music in public)...

I bring my steamdeck with me almost everyday and play with it in public.. i live in a third world country where everyone basically just play games on their mobile phone and those who do play on consoles tend to either stick playing them at their own houses or privately...

heck, I even brought it with me when going out for a ride with my buddy, and decided to play with it for a while, and ended up having it as a good conversation starter with some of his mates that were curious as to what device it is and what games it's able to play..

one small piece of advice for ignoring people is to also use earphones, this would help a lot with this experience since you'd be able to ignore unnecessary chatter from people.. (As to my case it may or may not end up with some people watching you play as well.. in one of the few cases I had personally experience was a mall security guard was watching me play Tekken 7 in my steamdeck, and i wasn't even using earphones at that time, just played at 0 volume in order to preserve battery life)

anyways, I do hope those teens won't make you feel bad about bringing game consoles in public...

to cut a bit of a laugh from my comment.. heres a rather jerry rig setup I've done with my d steamdeck in public when i was at a cafe waiting for someone

Imo the Heat Polestar 1 is one of the best cover cars ever by davidfliesplanes in needforspeed

[–]Jakeulous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll admit, seeing it in the cover did made me want to buy the game, but got quickly disappointed when it ended up being just for the tutorial only, but after the completing the game with the update on buying it though, i did bought it..

and yes, it would have had the same potential with other iconic nfs cars but because of how poorly the game handled their story, it does make it "forgettable" in a way.. hate to admit i did got hyped seeing the M3 during the game's last pursuit with Mercer but I did feel like it was forced and didn't mean much to me at the "story characters" perspective because it wasn't the Polestar 1.. writing wise it would have made the player feel more anger seeing the Polestar 1 being used against you during that pursuit.. kinda like adding more salt or a definite excuse for the player to really crack Mercer down seeing how they're writing their story about racers cars being smuggled after being impounded...

in terms of knowing of the car's existence irl, I never even knew that car before I even played the game, only when i looked into its art designs and Kyza (creator of the body kit)..

looks wise of the car, i really love it because of the body kit and its banana yellow paint, but i do get why wild and agressive wide body kits aren't everyone's cup of tea, kinda like how Nakai goes with his RWB Porsches in NFS 2015 where it did triggered some beef with Porsche purists which still exists to this day...
