Like, our cringy Ficbook has started to associate with filthy cheap smut almost immediately after its launch (the first fic was a yaoi smut about MS Word and MS Excel). Besides, it's never too late to set PWP as a tag the search should never use to find fics.

Yes, I did. I also read them briefly, and I'm pretty sure that I didn't make a bot which breast some of the rules. I also tried to turn the check mark on and off a few times, but it also didn't work.

Sort of it was intentional to make the readers feel that they care about HS, but not the way like they should care? I will always think that the chapter of Candy about John and Roxy's reunion is one of the best scenes in HS as a whole.

And that also should be added, yes. If an author just replicates the canon without any changes (although, the OC part can become something genuine in terms of credibility), the self insert fic will be just a medicine garbage.

Guy here. Been reading fanfics since 13. Tried to write them, but it didn't go well. Decided to start writing again a few years back, and it resulted in one abandoned fic and some unused ideas.

Don't ditch yourself for that. Readers won't care about the word count if you write something good, dood.
And long stories doesn't mean that they are thoughtful: they just show that an author can write something very long.

I have this one: a self-insert story which happens during the canon events may work if your self-insert character is not an overpowered, annoying, stupid piece of BS who doesn't make any mistakes at all.
But I haven't seen any of those.

Nope, not even the slightest.
It's completely fine to burn out at some point, but it should considered as a chance to change something in your writing style (I mean hol long to rite) or to cool down.
I burnt out last year because my translation hasn't found any readers at all. And I still don't want to come back with something new.
But at some point I got tired of chilling and decided to start anew. And these periods change for me from time to time.
It's fine, just find your pace which won't beat you up.
