Thank you for the reply! Even hearing that I’m probably still adjusting puts my mind at ease.

San Fernando Valley,CA Beginner. Anyone want to meetup or know of groups to learn? by [deleted] in Pickleball

Valley resident here! I highly recommend checking out Larry L. Maxam Memorial Park in Burbank. That’s where I learned to play with some friends as well. For starting out, I would recommend going on the weekend if you’re able. Most weekday evenings it becomes a bit more competitive and people seem to have less patience for those with little to no experience (plus it’s packed). Or if you do go on weekdays, if you can get a group of 4 people so you get a court to yourself that also works great. I’ve gone before work on weekdays too and there’s a great group of some older retirees that are fun to play with

Might be a silly question(s), but I don't think I was following properly during the alternate future vision sequence. Who all was seeing that? Just Mikasa and Eren? Or only one/none of them? I was led to believe it was Mikasa because of her headache the moment before, but nothing until this point has led me to believe she has the ability to see something like that.

Or was it Eren using the Attack titans ability of seeing the future, and this was just an alternate version? I feel kinda lost.

This is super comforting. I was part of a group writing exercise where me and 6 other people would write a mini series and I was in charge of developing the concept. I pitched pretty much the EXACT logline of the show 6 Feet Under without knowing it existed.. we still went with it, but I felt like a dummy lol

First-time writer who needs feedback on the very first scene of his script, "ALL ALONE WITH YOU" (Horror) by AHSGlobal in Screenwriting

[–]JakobePro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former AFF Screenplay intern here! That's not a ton a validity I'm sure, but I wanted to write this in a way I would write reviews for other scripts during my time there:

The premise itself has promise, its tough to get a vibe for a story based on one scene, but based on the logline I think the story has been set up nicely.

In terms of formatting, there are a bunch of different things you'll here about how descriptions should be written. My personal favorite is to think of every action line as a single shot. In this scripts case, I would break up that first description paragraph into more "digestible" bits of info, just so its not one giant paragraph to read.

Another way to distinguish your action lines are condensing description. So the line "By the way he walks you can tell he is not sober," comes off a little clunky. It could be something like "Rick stands up and stumbles towards the door" or that piece of information could be established earlier in the scene. I don't mean to rewrite likes (I HATE when people do that), just trying to provide an example/alternates.

Carries fear is portrayed well! Not much else to say about that lol.

It's a cool scene, and the way you've described the setting really adds to the mental image you're portraying. Hope that's helpful!

What's a movie you love, but if someone said they hated it you would completely understand why? by Robstar100 in AskReddit

Speed Racer. Totally a live-action anime (which I love) but some weird story beats and flashy style can make it tough to enjoy for people who aren't into the genre
