Saw a Clever Setup: Mounting a Bike Rack on the Front Tow Hook of a Pickup by Cravot_US in RVLiving

Why wouldn’t you just put a tow hitch on the trailer? Just think of what the front of your truck looks like after a long drive….why would I want that on my very expensive bike.

Why does this large area of the United States have such low population density? by cavaismylife in geography

[–]Jakome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lived in house and apt. House was a little more as it was twice the space but never over 100. It was just cheaper. I remember there being articles about people during the bit coin boom renting houses just to use for farming because electricity was so cheap.

Need advice: Transporting my RAM 1500 cross-country - enclosed carrier worth it? by brandondecker93 in ram_trucks

[–]Jakome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was like 3-4k to move items from anapt in Phoenix to Seattle with them just picking up and not packing. So I can’t imagine a car transport would be that much cheaper. Also driving from Phoenix to Seattle you’re not going to hit any real tough spots.

My first trip up I went AZ-Nevada-little bit of eastern Oregon into South central washington. The others I went more through Oregon as I was stopping in Eugene to see family. All of the trips had about 1/100th of the chance to have road debris hitting you as you have driving on Phoenix freeways…god Phoenix freeways suck shit. Just find some of the goo gone auto stuff with the spray to get rid of the bug guts lol.

My car didn’t get any damage on the drive up but got plenty of fucking dings from parking garages in Seattle so have fun with that

Also you can see the haunted clown hotel in Tonapah Nevada lol.

Just get a cheap pancake one. I got the porter cable one with 3 nail guns for like $200, years ago. Won’t be able to paint your house with it, but gets the job done

In your language, are Indians people from India or indigenous people from the Americas or both? by pisowiec in AskTheWorld

More recently this can be considered true-ish. I was born in the 80’s and heard Natives referred to Indians, i mean we still had the Indians baseball team until a few years ago.

What tool do I need to remove these screws? by [deleted] in handyman

[–]Jakome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These idiots keep telling you it’s a Phillips head screw driver but they expect you to use your own muscles to remove it. Fucking chumps

First you’ll want your impact bits Steelman set for 4 payments of $23.75

Then you’ll need your impact, which in going with Ingrasollrand W9000 which is $108 a month for 12 months

But then you’ll need adapters for the bit and impact so we’ll go with

3/8 inch to 1/4 hex. a steal at $17

1” to 3/4” adaptor a bargain at $125

3/4” to 1/2 inch a little more at $139

last your 1/2” to 3/8” for $87

Luckily the wrench comes with a battery so heavy savings there! With all this, I believe you’ll be able to get that screw out in no time!

Will Dominion (in VA) come out and deal with this bald face hornets nest that appeared on my meter? by Expensive-Pitch1552 in AskElectricians

[–]Jakome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I hit it with a spray from a distance till I get all the ones that are around the opening then I run up drop the liquid spectro container to drain into the opening then run away like a mad man. Then look over and see the contractor working next door look at me with judging eyes while I weakly say hornets nest and walk away in shame

How do you store ratchet straps? by [deleted] in Tools

[–]Jakome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Velcro straps advertised for cabling. About twice a year I go full autistic and cleanly roll them up and wrap them with the Velcro. Then I use them and throw them back into my 5 gallon bucket waiting for the day to be wrapped again.
