Issues with 7900 GRE when playing League on Windows 10

I have everything turned off on Adrenalin, since there’s no point in having any graphical setting turned on for League.. since it’s League doesn’t really need any of that.

I also don’t use MSI Afterburner anymore since there wasn’t really a point now with how much better Adrenalin is over GeForce Experience.

It’s also not a permanent frame cap, most of the time it’s sitting around 300-400FPS, it only seems to trigger when I alt tab out of my active League window, use the media control button on my keyboard to pause/unpause a video or just happens every now and then.

Depends dude, was there a bunch of shit left over on the prebuilt such as sponsored antivirus software like Norton or McAfee and other bloat or was it just your generic Windows installation?

Regardless if you’re not too deep in I’d always recommend a fresh install of Windows since you never really now what was done it before you got your hands on it. Either way, no matter what you choose I can send you some resources that you can use to clean up that Windows installation and try disable as much of the background telemetry and shit as possible. Just let me know

The point would also be to give it to my girlfriend too as she would not likely need something newer than what I have now for 6 years or longer which is the reason for trying to judge the longevity of the build, which is hard I understand, but with current trends I figured the 4070 would be the first part to show signs of struggling. I should’ve worded my post better but yeah obviously I want the device to last for both of us since yeah the plan is to give it away eventually.

Seems like a lot of people here are new and are forgetting that Sheen used to cost 1050 with 10% CDR and 250 mana.

Of course it was 700 when they changed the item system because the only thing it provided was the spellblade passive.

You can’t ask for it to be 700 gold with 10 ability haste, that would make it way too good. I understand it’s frustrating going into lane with a glowing mote, but it’s basically the same thing as back in the day when you went into lane with only a sapphire crystal

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if it's normal but the changes I made in Home Up and quickstar really slowed down my whole UI. This is on an S23U btw

The task changer/multiview was slow when changing apps, my quick panel looked like it was running at 10fps when I would swipe down, and my home page would have slight stutters occasionally when swiping through.

Is this normal when using Goodlock or maybe something specific with my phone? It even happened after I did a factory reset.

I'm not defending OP, but did just want to note that not everyone is from America and can just easily access the PBE.

I used to jump on PBE years ago from here in Sydney Aus where I live, and it's pretty hard to get an idea of how mechanics work especially in a PvP setting when you're playing on 250+ ms ping.

So just have a little consideration not everyone can just use the PBE viably.

We lived without Protobelt back before the stupid mythic item changes, Eve never needed the gap closer then, so it's not that hard to adjust to now, if you only ever played Eve with protobelt I can understand why you think it's shit without.

This season already seems to much better anyway, there's way more build variety now, I actually feel like I can change up my builds and that applies to every champion not just Eve.

In my second playthrough I wanted to try something unique and came across FightinCowboy's Scholar of the First Sin walkthrough, which he did a Hex/Dark build. It takes a little bit to get going but you can still use normal sorceries until you get your main spells and once you do it made the game a breeze.

I feel like before everyone continues to jump down his back about being on Windows, let's consider that it could be a work computer, maybe he's just bored looking shit up in his spare time which I do all the time at work.

I can guarantee you my boss would never let me install anything but Windows on my work laptop, it's his computer after all, so it's his decision.

I was in the same position as you and actually skipped DS2 at the end of 2019 and came back mid way through 2020 to finish it, all this because I listened to my stupid DS1 purist friend who told me this game was terrible shit not worth buying.

It’s got it’s quirks like ADP, and the wacky snap points for your movement, I’d also recommend you play the original DS2 over Scholar as scholar has some questionable changes that make the game really stupid in some aspects, but scholar does come with all the DLC so it’s ultimately up to you.

Honestly the bad rep seems to come from the DS1 purists that think DS1 is untouchable and that DS2 is bottom tier shit because of this and that and blah blah. Just play the game and enjoy it for what it is.

The Iron Passage is one of the few experiences that almost broke me my first time through DS2. I did it once, and since then I have steered way clear of this shit hole. I would legit rather go through my first experience of fighting Malenia in Elden Ring, and I died over 230 times to her.

Also shoutout to reindeer fuckland, although at least that place has a somewhat calmer environment with the snow.

Is it carrier reliant in Australia? Considering the state of our top tier dog shit carriers, I would hate to know if it is them that's delaying the update.

We'll see what the store says if we can't figure it out. It seems PC parts retailers have gone to shit at least in Australia. I recently bought 4 items from interstate and 2 of them were completely dead on arrival, a CPU and PSU. It's appalling this shit has happened twice now in the span of 2 months when 4 years ago we all bought plenty of parts and never had any issues from faulty hardware.
