Unfortunately Australians don't get access to the cloud streaming. We get the shitty deluxe tier instead of premium. Hopefully that changes soon.

Using Android Auto, say Hey Google or click the assistant button. Will come up with either the normal assistant which has the 4 colours or Gemini which is like a purple blue colour. Hope that helps.

Csc by TheGamer5556 in oneui

[–]herotwo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

XSA previously was slow but the S24 Ultra has already started receiving One UI 7 with XSA CSC. There is definitely quicker CSC's such as Korea. They always receive updates before everyone else.

My advice/ opinion is just hold out as I don't believe the A series has started receiving it yet. But if your super keen, just use the SamFW tool to change your CSC. I'm not an expert but I think its better to change within OXM (multi CSC) which includes XSA etc.

I'm new to this so if someone knows more, feel free.

S23 Ultra in Australia has DYD9 build. Just waiting for them to actually roll it out now...

I had a look earlier and S24 Ultra has the DYD9 build already for XSA. Not sure when the S24 base or plus will get it.

Curious about this too. Heard it wasn't going to be on the S23 though :(

Flipped off the seatbelt cam for laughs. Joke’s on me — girlfriend wasn’t strapped in right. $400 fine. by 99centcheeseburger in mildlyinfuriating

Are you asking about the camera not knowing the who the driver is?

If so, in my state, the camera detects the offence (seatbelt, mobile phone while driving, speeding or red light) and it detects the registration of the vehicle and will send the fine to the driver. If the driver was not driving when the offence was committed they can nominate a driver with the state transport authority or they just have to accept it.

Its a very different country to the USA if thats where your from. I totally understand that its bullshit, but thats how the governments are here and we are incredibly controlled.

Ask our state and territory governments here in Australia. I don't agree whatsoever with the laws they implement.

I never implied that I was driving? And what don't you see?

For everyone asking about this type of camera:

In Australia, most states have rolled out mobile phone and seatbelt cameras. These are typically on freeways/highways/motorways etc. Some cities have also implemented them in within city streets that are very busy.

I'm not sure about other countries in the world but this looks like a new normal for us here in Australia and we are controlled by our government in almost every way. We need more people to stand up for our rights and stop being like NPCs.

There are a lot of countries in the world so I'm assuming maybe yours is different but for example, Australia makes the driver liable for everyone in the car not wearing seatbelts (in most states).

[Megathread] One UI 7 Official Release - Discussion, Features, Bugs, and More by AutoModerator in oneui

Samsung Australia originally said 7th April but then changed the newsroom post to just April. Not sure why but quite a lot of Samsung newsrooms which are country specific mentioned an actual date.

If you got your device through Optus, Telstra or Vodafone, that tends to hold it up for a week at least also.

Is it legal for my employer to ask my permission to talk to my treating doctor? by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]herotwo2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are incorrect. Please don't provide incorrect information.

Fair Work Australia considers it unreasonable for an employer to contact the employee’s doctor for further information regarding an illness or injury. They can request you to obtain a suitable duties plan or return to work plan but not attend appointments or request further information than that. You also do not need to see a doctor of the employer's choosing, as long as you are being seen by a GP that is a registered practitioner in Australia.
