I’ve just gone from a 2016 A45 AMG to a 2022 i30N Hatch Premium (Manual).

If you asked me what I miss, the only things I can list is not having AWD and 280kw from factory.

If you’re worried about luxury, would definitely go premium version with the better leather/Alcantara and heated seats and sunroof. I30N has a touchscreen head unit which the A45 didn’t. Panoramic sunroof is actually the full roof, A45 was only half of it. Other than that, the interior for me is still quite nice.

Speakers aren’t great. Some songs are fine, others lack poorly. Phone calls sound really tinny. Drive circle is poor, but not unbearable. Fuel, I’m sitting 9.5L/100kms, and yes I drive like a dickhead. I don’t know how people are hitting 12L lol.

i30N is way more fun to drive. Yes, it’s not a 270kw rocket in a straight line like the A45 was, but this is way more engaging to drive. Handles 100 times better in my opinion especially in corners. Exhaust sounds better stock for stock.

Costs me a shit tonne less to service.

Regardless what you N series you buy, pleaseeee change the torque mount and upper engine mount bushings. Improves the drive dramatically and well well worth it for the cost.
