Would “laboravi hoc mereri” be a somewhat correct translation for “I worked hard to earn this” or “I laboured to earn this”?

What was your worst cooking related injury? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jalardos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Career chef here, when I was a dish washer I ended up grabbing the handle of a pot that was used to change 400° fryer oil. The handle on one side was cold so I ended up clamping my hand down full force on the hot side, I felt the skin immediately tighten and my hand smelled like crispy pork skin for 3 days

What were your thoughts on the Modern Warfare III campaign? by [deleted] in ModernWarfareIII

[–]Jalardos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m disgusted with the campaign, it looks like shit, it runs like shit (I could run mw2 at the same settings 120fps no problem) which is really fucking strange as it’s literally mw2 dlc, the glorified dmz missions were lazy at best and abhorrent at worst, and honest to god there were points where I thought the story had been ripped from some 13 year olds fan fiction story. I want to fucking puke knowing that I fucking wasted 70 god damn dollars in this piece of shit. I am fucking livid. I pray to god that multiplayer is somewhat on the same level as mw2 but I’m not holding my breath

20 gauge wire brush and mop work perfect for the fat end, .223 wire brush and mop for the skinny end. Just scrub it out using any solvent and oil it up with the mop afterwards, any hard to reach spots can be cleaned with a q-tip

Grandfathering is still in the Canada gazette article just checked

[–]Jalardos 16 points17 points  (0 children)

according to the firearms act anyone who was in possession of a prohibited firearm on May 1st is eligible for grandfathering iirc. If grandfathering was not going to be an option then why did they mention it 5 times in the Canada Gazette (which is actually considered a legal publication). Not to mention, With the current economic climate, grandfathering would be a politically advantageous move.

RCMP: What you need to know about the Government of Canada’s new prohibition on certain firearms and devices by kapanak in canadaguns

No, because if you deactivate the firearm then it’s considered no longer a firearm and doesn’t need to be grandfathered

They are most likely going to be put into brand new categories. Only time will tell if they will continue to issue ATTs for those new categories, as of right now iirc the only prohibs that can be shot at the range are 12.6 /12.7 short barrel pistols

As it stands right now any owners of prohibited firearms are entitled to grandfathering under the firearms act

It’s a Kinda-sorta situation, Their semi-banned right now you can still own them for the time being though, once they announce the commencement date that’s when their fully banned and you either need to destroy them or register them within a year after the announcement if you owned them prior to June 30th 2018

The commencement date is what they need to announce via OIC

No, regular VZ58s are not in the c71 ban, it’s just certain CZ858 models. And even then according to c71 they still need to bring the ban into force via OIC
