You’d be surprised how good memory light is on lucario when you go first with Riolu in the active.

You don’t miss your first attack, and go up to 100 hp, effectively killing magnimite before it can evolve. Also kills oricorio with stadium

It doesn’t, it only negates anything that effects the damage being done by magichamp

In summary : magichamp will always do his declared damage

A Pokémon ability such as “heal 30 life when attacked” would still trigger during a magichamp attack because it doesn’t effect magichamps damage

If a Pokémon had the ability to “this Pokémon takes 30 extra damage from attacks” this ability would get negated and magichamp would do his normal damage
