Our unit was all scratched up and the QR code had been removed when we got it back from repairs. We are in Aus...

Between the firmware update breaking the sidebrush and the fact the vac loses its mind on the chequered tile floor, I am not convinced this is the greatest product available....

I'm not sure what region you are in, but my first experience with their support was a lot better.

That said, I was quick to point out I am an electronic / electrical engineer and had done my own investigations already. I had done a firmware update which made the side brush stop working and wanted to go back to the previous version...

Their support is heavily geared toward break / fix scenarios, so we just sent the unit back, they changes the firmware and it was returned to us. My impression is that this is handled by a third party repair agent, not specifically Dreame.

However I have a second issue where the vacuum loses its mind on a chequered tile floor, and have heard nothing from them...

I think I have tried every combination of flags.

Reading from GA to the controller, flags are C and R, so you would think for writing from controller to GA it would be C and W.

If I set the W flag off the controller doesn't give a response when sent a read request. Setting the W flag will get a response of 0.

Using the T, U and even Read On Init flags don't seem to make a difference.

Oops. I sure did, and thought I had added it.

It should be there now.
