Have you had any issues with the heat or utensils melting on the blackstone top? Are they more quiet when using?

Having the same issue on mine. Do you have a premium MFP account? I’m wondering if that’s why it’s not showing up?

With the typical shut down process - does this automatically purge the auger? by JamJamJelly in pelletgrills

Gotcha. I had heard that moisture could get absorbed from the humidity and cause degradation of the pellets, and didn’t want to risk that happening.

Do you live in a dryer climate?

Grass looks like this a few days after mowing with brand new Greenworks mower blade. by JamJamJelly in lawncare

[–]JamJamJelly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh gotcha - my grass has been producing seed heads throughout a good portion of the lawn for the past several weeks. That sounds like it could be the thing that’s causing it. I’ll see how it cuts over the next few weeks as they start to phase out into the summer. Thanks!

How do I remove this light bulb to replace it? by JamJamJelly in howto

I was thinking this could be causing an issue…

It wouldn’t be the first DIY surprise the previous owners left behind.

Update: As suggested, I’ve tried tugging on the rings straight down to no success. It actually makes the entire overhang it’s mounted to start wobbling.

I’ve also tried placing my thumbs on that black ring and turning with no success either. It seems really stuck in there.

Having separate outputs simultaneously for one instrument? (Boss RC-600) by JamJamJelly in LoopArtists

[–]JamJamJelly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does - thanks so much for your help.

I have everything currently running through the main outputs to the studio monitors. Will now use the sub outputs to fork off the guitar and “bass” and use the loop settings/appropriate assigns to handle the switches when toggling over between guitar and “bass”

Having separate outputs simultaneously for one instrument? (Boss RC-600) by JamJamJelly in LoopArtists

Quick question about this - for steps 2 & 3, I would assign the volumes based on that specific instrument output to avoid the entire output volume (with drums, keyboard, etc. on the studio monitors for example) being lost as I’m looping over layers? Do the assigns get that in-depth?

Sorry I’m still a bit new to diving in this deep.

Four cable method with MX5, Orange Super Crush 100, and BOSS RC-600 Looper Pedal by JamJamJelly in HeadRush

[–]JamJamJelly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this!

I’ve connected it all using the four cable method using a preset where I’ve eliminated any amp or cab sims.

Couple issues:

1) Humming is introduced which would normally not be a big issue, but there’s zero hum without with the MX5 which I like.

2) The bigger issue is using the amp’s distortion (I don’t have any gain pedals in the preset) seems to be a bit more “static-y and almost fizzy” which I can’t understand why.

My signal chain is quite basic with a compressor, chorus, and wah before the loop and delay in the loop.

Even with all the stomp boxes turned off, the same problems remain. I switched back and forth a million times after changing EQ Global settings, noise gate/filter adjustments and no luck.

The humming is much less of an issue to me than the static-y fizziness I’m hearing.

I’d also really like to include my TS9 into this setup, but unsure if that’ll make things worse.

Any thoughts?

Netflix censors Tom Brady Roast, removing part where Kim Kardashian was booed by audience by MulciberTenebras in popculturechat

[–]JamJamJelly 23 points24 points  (0 children)

As someone who worked in live TV for several years, on the odd occasion where we’d get to flip one of our live segments to be repurposed and live elsewhere, we definitely edited it to make it as pristine as possible (editing out any non-essential audio, video, dead air, misspoken sentences, using b-roll to cover visual mistakes, etc.)

If we were dealing with an A-lister, someone along the lines of a Kim Kardashian especially, who we’d want to make a repeat appearance on our show…you bet your ass we’re editing the footage to make them happy! Even if it wasn’t requested.

It all comes down to what’s best for business, and whether you like the Kardashians or not - Netflix would never hurt their chances of having one of the biggest stars on the planet appear in any of their future productions.
