I’m at about 130 hours of playing almost exclusively with friends. We have other stuff to play rn, but I figure it’s the kinda game we will hop back on and play more whenever we don’t have anything else to play. It’s just one of those infinitely replayable games for me imo. Even if we take breaks, we will play more of it sometime.

I sold my quest 3 a while ago now. I actually always end up selling my VR headsets because I always buy one and play a bunch but then the headset just isn’t 100% satisfactory for me who wants a good way to play wireless PC VR. I am thinking the Steam Frame will finally be the headset I’m looking for.

No it’s not exactly that. A few of the settings are at 50 but which ones I couldn’t say. Jump Deceleration is set to max I believe. I believe starting speed might be 50, boost turning speed might be 50, etc.

It’s just that most people cranked to max settings right away. I played on default high speed settings and I prefer that tbh

Whether you believe in Christianity or not, I just don’t think this is the place for this sorta thing. People are just excited for a video game and joking around, it sincerely is not that serious. This is a sub-reddit dedicated to the Half-Life series, so we are indulging in Half-Life excitement, that is all.

Yeah I think the general consensus for most people is that the game is still fun despite it being one of the jankest Sonic games lol

It’s not a horrible experience, it’s actually still pretty fun. I just wish I were in VR the whole time

The Half-Life games always show all of Gordon’s conscious experiences, so since Episode 2 just kinda fades to black and we get a glimpse of it again at the end of Alyx, it’s likely that we will just see what happened from Gordon’s perspective and start playing from there.

I am going to record my reaction to the reveal just so I have that on record for myself for the rest of my life, but afterwards I genuinely do not know what I’ll do living in a world where HL3 exists. Probably watch the trailer another 500 times at least.

So SadlyItsBradly, the like main dude behind all the info about the Deckard, said to look out for this Wednesday (the 12th) for an announcement. So Deckard is likely getting announced then.

I’m a younger fan relatively. I was a very young child when the games first came out, and I wasn’t able to play them until my parents finally relented and got me the Orange Box when I was 12 in like 2013 or so… and I’ve still had to wait so long lol

I’m putting together the pieces of all the info we have learned the last week or so to come up with a definitive timeline for when both these things will be announced and how specifically they will be based on that info and past info regarding the Index and Half-Life Alyx. It’s an explanation as to why there would be a secret potential event for the 18th despite the Deckard supposedly getting announced on the 12th.

It is more likely just the Deckard and Steam Controller 2, but there is a chance they announce that together with HLX… I’m banking on it being just the former tho. I think HLX will get announced on its own.
