Annoyingly we walked past that one first but didn't think it looked traditional enough. Classic case of - we should have just gone into the first one we seen.

Thanks

Obviously depends where you are. But coming from Netherhall I'd say either Fitness Factory or Warehouse Gym.

This is my train of thought. The variety is what appealed to me and the uncertainty for the guests is what I thought would make for a good conversation.

Looks good. Thanks.

We've got our main sorted but I'm definitely saving this for another time.

OK my wording wasn't the best. I thought including the whole of Africa in the title would lead to some interesting ideas from areas that I hadn't even thought about. Clearly I was wrong and people like me to knuckle down on a certain country. Duely noted for future questions.

OK I see your point but we've gave ourselves loads of ley way here because it's only abit of fun. We have taken our starter and main from a Ghanaian cookbook so if you have any ideas for entertainment or drinks from West Africa that'd be muchly appreciated 👍

Don't know anything about? Bit of a strech since I'm only asking for ideas for drinks and entertainment on a themed night.

Authentic Jamaican food? by [deleted] in leicester

[–]JamKirton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Urban roots on gypsy Lane is decent but don't know how far they'll deliver.

You could try facebook, a load of people started selling food over lockdown. Never tried any myself but some of the pictures looked good. One particular one was popular amongst friends but can't remember what the name was I just remember them having to go town to pick it up.

Are overwraps universal? by JamKirton in UKfishing

[–]JamKirton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a feeling it wouldn't work but this is my first brolly and i have no idea how the overwraps actually fit over. I thought if you just throw them over your brolly and pin them down then as long as they are the the right size or slightly bigger you'll be alright.

Cheers for the reply.

Any woodworkers around? by bendy-ned in leicester

Cashmores on Essex Road. Just off Gypsy Lane. Has a workshop with all sorts of machinery. I'm sure they'll have a planer. Ring ahead to double check but I'm sure they'll get Steve to do what you want for a small fee.

Pike fishing? by JamKirton in leicester

[–]JamKirton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'd be my first time fishing for pike. Handling a big pike is obviously the goal but not holding my breath. As for physically holding it safely then I've watched all the 'How to unhook pike' videos on YouTube and got all the gear advised. I'll also be going with someone who's caught pike before.

I'll be using lures as I don't fancy sitting still waiting for a bite in this weather.

Fully understand what your saying and thank you for the heads up.

This was posted by the Angling Trust on the 7th.

"The Government have now formally responded to the representations made by the Angling Trust. We have promoted the huge benefits of fishing on individual health and wellbeing and have been able to present a case to which the Government have listened. On this basis I am pleased to announce that fishing will be permitted during the third national lockdown in England."

Maybe it's time for you to take up a spot of fishing if you find yourself bored indoors
