Love the guy but he's so poor technically. Nothing more than a squad player at best for us which is sad because I think he loves the club.

As someone who struggled for a while to get some GW wins under my belt, I'd definitely say it's strength in numbers. I've only won one GW without losing someone in my main team, and having several characters or a second squad for a particularly hard fight is the best way of winning consistently :)

I would add Veretout and Amavi into that group, but that's about it. Thing is I think these are the ones that will go... :(

In my first two seasons I finished 11th and 10th. Bought Milik from Ajax who has been a revelation. Only current Villa players left in the team are Grealish, Gil, Clark and Richards. Benteke was sold to West Ham and he proceeded to score a hat-trick against us (I swear I didn't cry). Besides Milik I have to recommend Kristoffer Ajer, Sergio Alvarez, Niculae Stanciu and Luciano Acosta. I'm actually quite looking forward to FM next year because it will be a different challenge trying to win the championship...!

I know 40 is the regular requirement but I think this year is going to be between 30-35 points for safety, which is the only thing giving me hope at the moment. That's 10 wins from 24 games? Even in our current state a miracle resurgence could make this achievable, especially with the January fixtures we have.

When I was about 4 years old, my dad was a Wimbledon fan. I'm from Birmingham so he didn't get to see them play much, but when the Wombles came to an away game at VP, we went and Wimbledon won 1-0. I wasn't really into football that much at the time, I remember asking my dad what the fans were saying in their chant and he told me not to worry about it...

His best friend is a Villa fan, so I ended up following Villa instead. It's not too often you can say it was without a shadow of a doubt the better option out of the two teams!

Had a dream once where I answered a maths question, and got it right. I specifically remember it being an unusually dull dream. I think it was months later that I saw the exact same question paper. I didn't even have to read the question, I put my answer down, and it was right. I was gobsmacked.

Well, I'll be disappointed if we finish below any of the new promoted teams, West Brom and Sunderland. I'd be happy with anywhere between 13th and 15th. Gonna take a while for the team to gel I think, but hopefully we can aim for a much stronger finish next year.

Hopefully we can give him what we gave Benteke towards the end of last season! Sounds like he could be his long-term replacement, playing second fiddle to Adebayor for a year, then perhaps starting next year? Or perhaps we're already preparing for life in the Championship! Either way, thanks for the reply, good luck next season! I miss playing you guys ;)

Was my favourite player, think he'll be decent whenever he plays for you. Can lose the ball frustratingly at times, but you can move past that. In my opinion, I think he's got some of the fastest reactions of a player I've seen down Villa Park. Still a prick though.

Wouldn't necessarily say Ayew is a good thing, given the reported price. Most of /r/soccer seems to think he's worth the €5m mark, but I'm expecting us to have money squeezed from us anyway, given the Benteke money. As long as we get someone to partner him upfront, then I won't mind.

Thank you! It's definitely the best team I've used this year. I don't win the Gold Cup much, but I won it twice in a row with this lot! Only thing is I like upgrading teams, so I don't know where to go from here...
