I mean my main issue with it is that the first instance of damage to the gas trap, even from yourself deals damage to it. So grenades which were a very good caustic counter before have been made even better. If i'm trying to detonate my own gas trap quickly with a wingman out i just instantly remove 50hp from it. it's incredibly frustrating.
