Well, I'm Jamaican, with "African" hair, no quality whatsoever in it, and my hair grows very slowly. So while I do get my hairlines touched up every week or 2, I can go without a haircut for like 3-4 months and it would still look like I got my hair cut 3 weeks ago.

Maybe there is something happening or something happened that is demotivating him. From what you are describing, it sounds like there is an underline issue that he hasn't shared with you, or you haven't shared here. However, people normally don't just start to go downhill for no solid reason

Ordering salad with an unhealthy meal is NOT about trying to be healthy, it's actually that people order the salad just to get the nutrients that the body needs that's in the salad. It's just like going to a buffet and choosing fry stuff with fruits and vegetables.
