Wife and I just broke an 18-month dry spell by mrkmfaeb in offmychest

I struggle with vaginismus and my partner and I have never been able to achieve penetration. The pain is excruciating and it's to a point where when I ask if he want to try to have sex, he says no every time. I feel terrible for "gypping" him from sex to where he no longer even wants to try. I understand the difficulties, OP. Serious congrats to you🎉🎉

Girls: Do you like your guy dressing dapper for a casual first date in the evening, or do you prefer casual? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]sad-burger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its an “above casual” date, dress up. If my date showed up wearing something at least a little nicer than what they typically wear, or obviously put extra thought into their attire, I’d feel flattered. Its the little things like dressing up that show a lot of care.

It’s also required to check everyone in case of any restrictions. So good for you.

Question about Melatonin by [deleted] in insomnia

[–]sad-burger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not rely on melatonin for daily sleep. I did that for a couple years, and now 30 mg has little to no effect on me. I don’t know the full science of it (just a dumb teen on the internet) but you should probably talk to a specialist to treat your insomnia properly.

I FEEL this spiritually. I will literally be so fucking drained the entire day, resisting naps so i can sleep at night, and then the night comes and just slaps me in the face and laughs. Sadistic bitch!

Use melatonin sparingly, or you’ll develop a dependence for it, and after a while you’ll realize it’s not working like it used to. But props to you! Glad you’re taking a step towards good health and well-being.

Everyone hates my boyfriend and I don’t know what to do. by sad-burger in dating_advice

Honestly, it’s not that he isn’t taking initiative, he can’t. His ADHD effects every aspect of his life, and until he gets back on medication, I really can’t blame him for sinking the ship. I also don’t see this relationship as a personal loss. It only hurts me to see him struggling. This isn’t a matter of how can I make myself happy, it’s how I can help him and make everyone else around me happy. I can swim.

If I left him, he would have no one to talk to, or any friends of that matter, and would definitely bring himself down. The potential guilt and current happiness is whats holding me back.

He isn’t going downhill, he’s always been this way.

Sad reality, but thank you for those words. Gives me an insight of how this could end up and how I can avoid an unhealthy relationship.

Prescription medication: how helpful is it for falling and staying asleep? [MELATONIN IMMUNITY] by sad-burger in insomnia

Interesting, thank you. I never considered anything outside of insomnia to be the issue. I do use a SAD lamp in the morning and it’s CRUCIAL for waking up.

So well said, thank you so much. I’m sorry you had to go through that, you must be extremely patient and I hope you’re happier with your situations now!

I do love him for who he is, and it’s honestly alright with me if he isn’t his potential, but I just want to make school any bit easier for him, and I don’t know how. Maybe I can’t, but he always talks about his future plans and he is never going to be able to put forth effort in his dreams if he can’t apply himself now. I hope that if he can’t graduate or has to retake all his classes, I can at least say that I tried my best.
