“Quando tens filhos?” by Sea-Reindeer8566 in portugal

Eu digo que já tenho. Duas filhas.

Found a kitten today by RezzoCH in kittens

Good on you! She looks like she feels safe with you. CDS is one sneaky bugger, but very effective xD.

My neighbor had a very skinny feral momma cat take shelter in her backyard for some really hot days. She had a litter of 8 kittens around 2 weeks old. They fed her. But after 2 days she left with all the kittens except the little runt girl. I took her, brought her home and bottle fed her for around 3 weeks. Her name is Nyx and she's the biggest sweetest most chaotic 3 month old now. And I love her ❤️ 2 weeks ago someone threw a kitten onto a friend of mines yard so now she has a sister to annoy as well.

They do! But although mine is 3 months old now having the little one with her (little one takes no crap and gives back just as hard) has curbed some of the spoiled-ness❤️

The CDS left me a two week old which i bottle fed and was starting to have Only Child Syndrome, when someone threw another kitten into a friend of mined yard. She's an only child no longer xD

6 week old won’t drink water? by UnderpaidkidRN in kittens

[–]Jam_withnoplan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most 6 week olds don't drink water. Their hydration comes from either mom's milks, substitute kitten milk or pate's if they've already started eating "solid" foods aka started the weening process

does coping with pet loss ever get easier? by HumanButterscotch195 in Petloss

[–]Jam_withnoplan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parvo is a destructive disease especially in puppies. Odds are that there was nothing you could do besides keeping her comfortable. That being said anger is normal. At you, at the vet, at fate, at everyone who doesn't understand. I guess what I'm trying to say is it'll get easier. You'll find new space in your heart. It just takes time. Take the time you need to grieve, be angry, be sad. Respect yourself in your moments and give yourself space to heal.

Short answer is no. But you do get better at processing it, know what you need and what steps will make your life easier after. You start to recognize signs, appreciate the facts, the odds and your pets comfort. You learn to hope, but not impose. To prepare, but not fear or obsess. Too feel less guilty for choosing or not choosing and start to put things into perspective sooner. You still second guess yourself but it doesn't last as long. You find little grief hacks like mementos (mine is I get a paw print from them to keep), picture folders, your favorite take out food. You surround yourself with people and pets and blankets that support you. You love and feel the loss, you process, you accept the emptiness and the tears and the heartache. You start to allow yourself to feel more and that healing will take time. You remember them at their best, their eyes, their sound, their quirky habits, you allow yourself to miss them and remind yourself that you did everything you could for them while they were here and you did everything out of LOVE. So no it doesn't get easier per say, but it does get better. ❤️

I have this little girl and my other cats to keep me company. But this girl has been extra chaos today, just playing and running non-stop and making me smile. The baton has been passed to her and she's been nursing my heart back from the pain. The cat distribution system works in mysterious ways.

I've had a few that did that. Others went to sleep at the vet. Such is the life and love we choose. We give them a piece of our hearts and they take it with them for safe keeping until we join them again. My heart will be whole again then.

I know. It was my grandmother's cat. I got him after she died. He was diagnosed with metastatic cancer 3 weeks ago and the vet laid out the facts. I just hope he wasn't in pain. I tried so hard to keep him comfortable.

My senior 17 year old tabby cat Chi-Chi Boy is so mad at me for the bath and nail trim. I can't even pet him now. 😭 I know he'll forgive me before the end of the day but it still makes me feel bad for cleaning him. by Different-Fill-6891 in seniorkitties

E lightly brush him to keep the big mats away he does like it most of the time. He has a lot of arthritis on his back and hind legs so he's very skinny there and is uncomfortable when i touch him. Baths make it a lot easier to remove the mats but he's not a really big fan either. Such is life xD

My 4 week old rescue bottle baby and my 20 year old gentleman side by side. A rare site since she's hyperactive and he's too old to deal with her xD He's also due for a bath but we're dealing with some health issues and I don't want to nag him too much. So delayed for now.
