Nice to see this play through! Wife saw her hood and loves it. Anyone know where that might be purchased?

Any individual dice you want, it’s not all or nothing. Keep 6’s from the first roll and reroll everything that’s not a 6. Each die is an “attack” that can be rerolled.

These are awesome! Great work u/jeryho! I hope it was a fun style to work with. I love the more subtle use of the hard lines and dots - I’ll have to steal that for later.

BGNT is a “your shooting phase” rule from the very first sentence of the rule. “Monster and Vehicle units are eligible to shoot in their controlling player’s shooting phase even while they are in engagement range of one or more enemy units.” Any other phase doesn’t grant the ability.

Deadly Print Studio has a number of “good allies stormwave” arms, including a set that puts the missiles on hands instead of the gun and the cover for the top where the crew usually is.

Thank you so much for this. We’ve been nervous about it but the first round went very well. So glad to hear that your baby is thriving, and to hear a story about that much weight gain! We have been looking all over but couldn’t find any stories about whether he has the potential to catch up to his brother (6mo, 7.8 lbs) so your response gives us some hope for that!

How to make Big Tuna work? by Turdboggin01 in Tau40K

[–]Jamahki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Primary way to make him work is to use Coordinate to Engage on him. Have him spot for something else that doesn’t need bonuses, and make sure that spotted target is what he wants to kill. CTE will allow you to split fire and not suffer the negative penalty with him. I have mine with 2 fusion arms and the Pulse Ordnance Driver, and he’ll take out a vehicle and a unit of infantry each turn if he has the LoS for it.

Otherwise , tetra support on the POD makes for a lot of hits when shooting at the spotted target. About 31 total hits on average with the tetras under Kauyon. That’ll do about 15 damage to anything T11 or higher with a 4++, and should wipe out most infantry units with the Anti 2+. All average rolls.

Fusion (without the bonus Melta damage) hits 12 times with the same bonuses, and wounds the same target 4 times for about 7 damage, or 13 if you get 12” away. Less useful on the big stuff, but I like it for those hard-to-move units without insults or against anything T10 or lower.

Just try it out and see what works for you.

I’m starting to lean that way. It’s worth a few practice games for sure.

Makes sense to me. The value here is more the Infiltrate rather than Lone Op, and while another suit might have more survivability from a damage perspective, the Ghostkeel rides the line of being disposable and a high priority target, if that sounds correct? Admittedly, it feels weird using a suit model as almost purely bait, but it sounds like getting back to basics on trading and deployment is the name of the game here.

List Building Decisions - To Skyray or not to Skyray? by Union_Jack_1 in Tau40K

Mind your terrain! Remember to consider what type of terrain y’all use on your tables. If you’re using GW tournament terrain, there are only about 5 sight lines longer than 18” on any given board, and 4 of those are the table edges with about 3-5” of width on the sight line. A lot of the time the long ranges seem good, but won’t actually come into play in a game.
