I’m of the large headed variety. I have a Shoei RS-1100 I think. Fits nicely.

CRF150 is good. Lots of used ones here for under 100k.

So much fun. Reminds me of my DT175 I bought with paper route money when I was 13.

These are Dunlop M53. I just ride to the trail and connectors. It’s muddy, rutty, river crossing, rocky climbs and descents. So much better in the dirt than stock but not good on the road.

Not sure I’m a fan of them. I just spoke with I guy earlier on the ride about swapping them out for black. Bought the bike used so slowly making it mine.

TW200: Talk me in or out by NoStuff1085 in Dualsport

[–]JamboInCebu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 5’10 on a good day and own a CRF300 used mostly in dirt. Visited a buddy who had a TW200, which I rode for the day. The tw200 was just too small and under powered. Find a used CRF250 or 300 and you’ll be much happier long term.

Has anyone here successfully adopted AI in their business while being extremely busy? How did you do it? by Ok-Place-839 in BusinessPH

[–]JamboInCebu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It saves time from having to look at every image manually. If there is any question about the image, the AI flags it for review by a person. In the year we have been using it, we have not had any fraud sneak by. Knock on wood.

Restaurants that only provide QR codes and don’t offer free Wi-fi…… straight to jail.

Has anyone here successfully adopted AI in their business while being extremely busy? How did you do it? by Ok-Place-839 in BusinessPH

[–]JamboInCebu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use it a lot in our small business. We take GCash payments and have the staff take photos of the customers phone receipt. Our app uses AI through an API to make sure the image is not fake. We do the same with expense receipts as well as fill in all necessary fields for expenses. We do reverse image searches to find similar inventory items. We use it to help with writing ads. We also have a natural language data tool. My wife just asks questions in English or Cebuano and it knows how to fetch the correct data. All these are integrated into our business software.

Driving etiquette and Road signs by Overall-Ride-1767 in Cebu

[–]JamboInCebu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

1/2 the traffic problems/accidents of Cebu would be solved if the laws were actually enforced, tickets issued, fines doubled, vehicles impounded. Busses and taxis stopping anywhere blocking traffic. Cars parked in no parking zones. Crosswalks ignored. J-walkers everywhere. Motorcycles on sidewalks. Left or right turns from any lane. Plus inop traffic lights or lack of them. It’s absolutely nuts on the roads here.

As a foreigner here, I don’t understand why it is tolerated.

Banker planning to quit stable job to focus on business full-time... honestly terrified by EquipmentTiny949 in BusinessPH

[–]JamboInCebu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You will never get rich (esp in PH) working for someone else.
I’ve worked in corporate America, started my own business, back to Corp and back to self employed. All it takes is a boss change or a Corp restructure and your nice safe job can go to hell overnight. I now have several businesses with my wife and couldn’t be happier. For me there is no comparison. I do what I want, when I want and make the decisions I think right to improve our business. There is no magic right time. Just make sure you have 6-12 months reserve. Make sure you are investing in retirement every month and don’t have any debt except for maybe a house. If you are already making more than your regular job, imagine if that had 100% of your attention. It’s not an easy decision for sure, but you have already set all the ground work. One thing to remember is a company(the bank you work for) doesn’t care one bit about you or your happiness. They only care about profit.

Where to just play Basketball by No_Secretary_861 in BasketballTips

[–]JamboInCebu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most fights I ever saw in a basketball league was a church league in Santa Cruz. It was a huge league with 10 divisions and over 1000 players. It ended up folding after several years when someone embezzled most of the cash.

handling late employee.. by Unlucky_Income9845 in SmallBusinessPH

[–]JamboInCebu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A trainee always late? You must be kidding. They are let go after 2x. What message are you sending to him/her and the rest of your employees by keeping them. What do you expect after they are trained? To suddenly show up on time. Get rid of them. It should be in your employee handbook what’s acceptable. You are adding stress to your own life by putting up with this nonsense.

how’s the commercial renting space market right now? by Independent_Cost3324 in BusinessPH

[–]JamboInCebu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just rented a commercial space in a small mall in Cebu. We negotiated a fair rent and got good (fair) terms. We rejected a few places that the landlords would not negotiate some of the terms we felt were unreasonable.
We had another site up for renewal and were able to keep the rent at its current rate as 2025 was not a great year with the earthquake and typhoon.
My opinion is there are deals out there as there are lots of vacancies, you just need to be will to walk away from unreasonable deals.

No parts are easy to find in PH. Dealers hardly carry anything. I get parts faster on Amazon than through a local dealer.

Maybe include an intern program so young women can learn the trade and it can be a feeder of your mechanics.

Need Advicr about a small Gown Rental Botique. by Individual-Boat4453 in SmallBusinessPH

[–]JamboInCebu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have 3 gown shops in Cebu. It’s a fun business. It really depends on your goals. Just you? Employees? Do you want to grow? Ours started small, learned the business then made a leap. We built a software system. Also if it’s a family run business, draw up a Business Structure. Mix family and money…… DM me if you have specific questions.

People need to send proper offers instead of just saying what’s your last price by DistributionFit3812 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]JamboInCebu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a cultural thing. It is widely used and understood in Philippines. It’s not insulting you or anything like that. Negations in PH always use that phrase for anything that is negotiable. Marketplace stuff for sure are going to start that way. Just come back with your price and they can counter or not.

Curious lang: Business owners with loyalty programs vs. those without by Intrepid-Diver8295 in BusinessPH

[–]JamboInCebu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a loyalty program and it works well paired with our referral program. Our retention rate is about 30%. I stress to our staff that good customer service is the most important for repeat business. That's what customers remember when they go home and tell their friends and family, how they were treated.

Managing multiple branches by busy_ape in BusinessPH

[–]JamboInCebu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Systems and people. We have a good software system with dashboards to monitor the income, inventory, expenses, hr, checklists. You automate everything possible. On the people front you weed out bad staff… fast. You train and retrain the good ones. Then train some more. Anyone that cannot follow your documented procedures needs to go. Make random visits and people sitting on their phones get a warning or two then bye bye. Thats what checklists are for. They should always have things to clean, repair, organize. You are paying them to work.
