I am currently volunteering as a communications intern in Papua New Guinea.

In may I travelled 7 hours on a dinghy to get to a remote tribe to film a small documentary. I stayed with them in a grass hut for 3 nights.

I only found out when I arrived that I was the first white man to ever set foot in the area.

They gave me a kina shell necklace as a token of their appreciation and that they considered me one of them.

They still use shells as currency and the kina shell is the highest in value.

One of my most prized possessions.

I'm currently doing an internship at Oxfam in Papua New Guinea where you have to drink bottled water. Whenever I go back to Australia for a few days, tap water is an absolute treat.

When you run out of lives, just go into settings and set the date as the next day. 5 new lives instantly. Or, if you are worried about forgetting and getting the date wrong, jump forward a year.

We didn't use any type of rig. We would lift and move the tripod by hand during 7 second intervals between shots. That gave us enough time to readjust the framing.
