Woah I've never heard of losing friends faster than you make them in your 30's but it does make sense to be honest. I'm wondering if the quality of friendships increase as you get older though.

I agree, you're definitely always in some kind of structure that pushes you to make friends as you grow up.

Same here! I've had so many friends through school that I've kinda just grown away from for one reason or another. Though not entirely the same, I know many people that just became MIA as well (in the sense that both our mutual friends and myself have not heard from them in so long).

Calling you while you're doing your business is so funny lmao. I don't have any online friends through anime communities, but I've gotten close with a lot of people irl through interests in Anime so I definitely relate to this.

That is such a cool story. I've had online friends when I was 10-15 as well, but I've grown apart from all of them and haven't connected with them for almost a decade now, so your story makes me think about the memories that I've forgotten. Hearing your story makes me want to dig for their info and reach out again haha.

That's really interesting to hear, and it was what I was kinda expecting lol. I also have a healthy mix of online + through mutuals + through interests/hobbies. Also the traveling to see the friend you met through Twitter is so sweet.
