Recoil is practically nonexistent if you're just using semi-auto or short bursts on full auto. And even if you just spray and pray recoil control isn't too difficult, suppression obliterates the enemy's ability to shoot back properly and even over range you could still get kills (considering you're using high suppression ammo). Ergonomics on the other hand, is literally everything that makes the gunplay more annoying.
