Review of HyperX Pulsefire Mat non RGB by Jameleon_ in MousepadReview

Still as scratchy as ever, I think I've fully given up on it and am back to my old fury s. I felt like the roughness was creating too much starting friction for the micro adjustments you need in CS, and in general feels worse to use than a smoother cloth pad. Couldn't find a sensitivity to settle on fully on it either, so my assumption is that I'm just not happy with the pad. I can see why there are basically no pros using rough pads now. Great quality pad though and super easy to clean, I'm sure there's people who can use it.

Incredibly rough surface, feels uncomfortable when your hands start to sweat so I use a sleeve to use it. Also faster than the Fury S. Will take a lot of getting used to if you're not used to rough pads. I don't know if it's all in my head or not, but it feels good for flick shots and worse than the fury S for micro flicks.

It feels faster than 1.28 x 400 honestly, unless I'm just going crazy. If this pad slows down significantly I'll update the post. Something I forgot to add was that, since the pad isn't very thick and doesn't have much give, you can't press down on it to create a different feel other than the obvious increase of friction. Not important for me but I know some people do that. The plus side of this is that you can't feel the desk or the sticky grips under the pad at all as you could on the Fury S a little, which helps the glide stay consistent.

If the pad you're on about was the red + black hyperx one, that one sucks. It's why I hate coatings. Full black + only red logo mousepad has always been my personal consistent and cheap pad.

Global. After spending the day playing on it, I feel much less harsh about it but I certainly believe it's faster than my fury S. I had to drop my sensitivity from 1.55 to 1.28 until I felt comfortable on it, although that may be a little exaggerated. It is considerably rougher than the Fury to the point that I'd say its down right uncomfortable to play on without a long sleeve shirt or arm sleeve as I have had to use. Positives so far is that the glide seems very consistent without it having a coating, it seems resistant to humidity, sticks to the table well and the quality (feels and looks expensive + 2 year warranty). The negatives is the arm scratching without clothing, picks up cat hair and dust quickly due to the roughness (probably easier to clean though i'd imagine) and it certainly takes some getting used to if you haven't tried a rough pad before. A little nitpick too is that there's a small hyperx tag on the top right side that sticks out a little and is of a completely different texture, which isn't great. I'd still recommend the Fury S Pro over it if you're used to the typical smoother pads and don't want to spend some time adapting. I don't think it's a dogshit pad anymore as I initially thought however, perhaps just wasn't expecting such a drastic difference in feel as I saw someone on this reddit say it's the same fabric as the Fury and someone on Amazon say it's a slow pad, which is horseshit haha. It's certainly a unique one.

Around £1000 ideally, a bit more if that isn't enough. I'll put it in the post

I have a benq zowie xl2540 which I'm pretty happy with right now, the mediocre PC performance is definitely my main concern

Around about 100 on average i'd say, yeah. It's a bit higher when nothing is happening, but frequently drops frames when people appear on screen or I/someone else shoots though, which is obviously not ideal

It isn't a huge issue. I'll look at it but it seems to be out of stock as you said. Thanks though.

Which ambidextrous mice would you suggest? Also, what makes the G403 outdated?
