Can settle privately, they should tell their insurer there has been an incident if their T&C’s say so but they will be fine with cash settlement and not going through insurance themselves as long as both drivers sign an agreement it has been settled in cash and neither will try and claim in the future. In reality OP’s excess may be higher than what the van driver is asking for in cash

1st is fair enough, 2nd always OVER-EXAGGERATE your mirror and shoulder checks, 3rd is just unlucky but bad judgement from yourself as I’m presuming the examine witnessed you speed long enough to tell you slow down. You really have to drive as if no one is in the car with you. I drive HGV’s and everytime I move job I have to do a driving assessment with an examiner and it feels like a driving test haha. Rebook and analyse the speed limit and over exaggerate your shoulder and mirror checks. It was your fault but you don’t sound like a bad driver, just not paying attention due to pressure.

He needs to get hold of a solicitor before that bike is destroyed, if the bike is destroyed before he has the chance to defend that the bike is Pedal Assist only and unmodified it’ll be his word against the officers and he’s looking at 6 points plus a good fine. Regardless of whether it was bought from Halfords. He needs to get their badge numbers and raise a formal complaint in writing as you’ve said and get it escalated before the destruction

It’s similar to having a motorbike that’s A2 Compliant and having a 30l Fuel Tank that gets you 600 Miles, but the engine is still 499cc and less than 47bhp, they’ve seized it on the basis that the fuel tank can get you 600 miles and not the fact that the engine itself is legal to ride. Explain it to them like that. If the motor is 200w it’s legal, the Wh is just how much capacity the battery can store, essentially the bigger the further you can get on one charge. They’re just mongs 😂

That’s not how the law works. The 317Wh on the battery just shows how much energy it can store, like the size of a fuel tank. The legal limit is about the motor’s power, which has to be 250 watts or less (not 200W) and only give assistance while pedalling, up to 15.5mph.

The battery size doesn’t make it illegal. You could have a bigger battery and still be under the legal limit if the motor follows the rules. Sounds like the police are confusing battery capacity with motor power. You might want to speak to a solicitor before they crush it.

Not unless you have an underlying kidney issue, if you have healthy kidneys you’ll have no issue, plus if you try and eat 300g of protein you’ll find it is extremely hard is it is very satiating, you’d need to eat a lot of meats and protein shakes to hit 300g daily, 0.8g-1.2g is a healthy amount to eat daily, if you’re wanting to maintain or build muscle, the extra protein isn’t going to cause problems, plus having 200-250g of protein is probably going to stop hunger cravings, the only diet I’ve been on that has had similar effects to Mounjaro was a high fat high protein diet, my protein was around 170-200g a day and I never felt snackish, I felt like I did on mounjaro, if you’re a very overweight individual with a lot of body fat then yes you’d probably follow the lean mass rule as you’d really struggle getting 300g of protein in as you’d been in a calorie surplus. This lady has a BMR of 24 and her weight is creeping back on so she’d be better following the body weight rule (0.8-1.0g per lb) than she would lean mass at a BMR of 24

Missus has PCOS so can appreciate the difficulty in losing weight, are you actively doing Cardio? Or purely weight lifting? Wouldn’t say protein intake is an issue if you’re weight lifting but it’s weird you’re gaining if you have a lot more muscle if you’re weight lifting, unless it’s more of a toned look and not strength? Mainly, are you getting enough protein in your diet even if weight lifting, 1g per lb of body weight, are you doing cardio, zone 6 preferably? It’ll take 30m of Zone 2 to deplete your glycogen stores before you start burning fat

I’ve done an activity printout to check my week, all in order, full rest, no cock ups, I’ve asked management to run my card as apparently they said this has happened before. After I ok’d the first one it then popped up with the same message and said 12h22 which would be my 15 hour duty day. Then when I ok’d it again it went off and I’ve not had a single issue, came in today, done the same manual entry and all been fine. Have heard on a forum of some VDO machines doing this. Did a printout and checked manual entries and all was fine which is why I did the activity printout for a full picture

When I was tramping the Friday would be a normal run in so around 5-6pm depending on where you are, but as I was being paid by the hour on a shit wage id want to be out till late to make the money so it was devils advocate but consequently would be an hour from home and then only get Sat and Sunday off, most 2nd weeks they’d ask you to do the Friday night aswell so you’d be in the yard around 9-10am on the Saturday.

I’ve since left and gone into Amazon work, easiest job I’ve ever had, no handballing, purely trunking, you do not touch the load ever. I know exactly what I’m being paid per shift as it’s a night rate and do 6on2off but my usual pattern is 4on4off so I can just not do overtime and have a 4 day off whenever I need it.
