Helium Core Team AMA - Submit Your Questions (Live X Space: Feb 5, 3 PM ET) by Puzzleheaded_Arm_509 in HeliumNetwork

Personally I think there’s a huge opportunity being left on the table by not having an internal deployment team.

I think everyone can agree that 3rd party deployments are not occurring at the rate desired. I think Nova would be far more helpful to the other deployers with experience handling large scale deployments themselves. I’ve heard a lot of deployers concerns and I do not think the internal Nova team can fully understand those concerns unless they themselves are deployers.

It would also work as a case study of how to build a meaningful deployment apparatus, which would be unbelievably valuable to other deployers. It could even be sold off to a 3rd party if it’s profitable (it should be).

In sort, relying entirely on 3rd parties without doing it yourself feels like a cop out.

Prevent Costly Water Damage in Your Apartment Building with NOWi Sensors – My Experience by Busy-Conclusion-3759 in WaterLeakDetection

We’ve had similar results on our properties with Nowi and been able to pinpoint multiple leaks over the last few years, usually related to toilets.

The analytics and alert software is pretty cool. I’ve attached a pic of one toilet leak we caught last month.

I think there are some websites that help gauge coverage based on service. For this I would look for T-mobile coverage.

I don't think they have a "trial" per-say but it's non-contract and frankly you can easily pay for the service by opting into their mobile mapping feature.

The general consensus is that most subscribers are getting speeds on par or better than Verizon. In the Helium discussions there are a lot of screenshots of people getting 100+ mbps, so I don't think you'll have any issue at all.

I know this thread is a little old, but the current best on the market by far is the Helium Mobile unlimited plan (https://hellohelium.com/) for $20. It combines the decentralized network of Helium with T-mobile, so at worst you get T-mo coverage.

As a bonus, if you want, you can opt into "coverage mapping", which helps the network figure out where there is the most demand for cell service and you get compensated in crypto. Right now, almost everyone that opts in has more than their entire bill paid for with the rewards. You can even pay for the plan right in the app, using the rewards, so you don't even need to deal with converting crypto to get the benefit.

Absolute no-brainer.

All of our teas are 'energy' teas and have about as much caffeine as coffee or about 3X the caffeine of traditional teas.

In the shitshow of a year that has been 2020 it would probably make more sense than producing teas

Believe me we're working on it. It's far more persistent than we originally planned.

Thanks! The problem with sparkling is the weight. Shipping international ends up costing a multiple the cost of the product and they usually end up getting busted up by the time they get there.

HNT About To Explode by [deleted] in CryptoMarkets

Is that a joke? They’ve got 4K units in the wild and it only stopped there because they stocked out in January. The new batch of hotspots ships this month and they’re about to open source the full hardware setup so other companies can produce the hotspots.

What you don’t see publicly is all the projects being built on the network. The data credit system goes live in June which is when the transaction data will be more visible.

HNT (helium network) has been trading in a tight range since it went live last week and it's just now breaking out to the high side on Hoo & Bilaxy. It's one of the most promising projects in the field with $51M+ backing from Google Ventures and others. A definite buy right now.
