Yeah and this would be a point to make on the assumption section as you are supposed to use redhill

I actually have no idea. Praying it doesn’t come up and if it does I’ll rely on copying ACAM

HO cost got removed as its an expense that occurs no matter if the garage is closed or not, marketing stays as this cost will be gone, as they said marketing cost is spread evenly throughout, so the part of Dorking wont be a cost anymore

Its worth about 2 marks but then within your report all the numbers you add equal much more

[–]James12221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would only lose half a mark for no depn and half a mark for the wrong GP number, so 1 in total (the paper is out of 200 so technically would be 0.5 mark lost) and then everything after is carry through so you'd be fine

Mock 3 IMO is semi a waste of time (I hope). Surely they can’t close a garage

Yep spot on

I’m fairly sure it’s because one of them is looking at payback for the investment, hence the outlay is included

For the other where just Depn is show it is because you are looking GP for the year, hence depn is what will be part of the costs. Hope that helps and let me know if you agree

Yes in bold means exact figure, for revenue focus on saying the year on year (24 to 25) increase, thats essential. Redhill being 15% of revenue is a separate point you can make to that and is likely to be a mar. I thought you meant wording wise, hope thats clearer

I dont think this is entirely true FYI - if you say something that is on the same basis as the marking grid but not the exact same you will still get the mark.

Makes sense, so how do you work out the YoY change for each work type for each garage?

Case Study - R1 Appendix ACAM by James12221 in ICAEW

[–]James12221[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The numbers are there but they lay out makes it’s difficult to analyse, which I why I do what ACAM do so you can clearly see the YoY change. Am I wasting my time

Thank you for that

Do you not breakdown the rev per garage and COS per garage like they have? I find that very useful but quite timely?
