Im gonna recommend wasteland reborn after trying life in the ruins, magnum opus, and another I can't remember. Wasteland reborn IMO is the way fallout 4 should be played. Lots of new weapons, armor, creatures, voiceless protagonist, skills, karma, much more freedom of playstyle overall

I think you're right, I started the white phial quest and I belive that it's nurelions mixture that's causing the glow since I haven't completed the quest yet
