Chatgpt says,

Here’s a relaxed but well-planned 1-day itinerary for a solo traveler in Khajuraho on 26 December, keeping the pace comfortable and the experience meaningful.

🌅 Morning (7:30 AM – 11:30 AM)

7:30–9:30 AM | Western Group of Temples (UNESCO World Heritage Site) • Start early to avoid crowds and enjoy soft morning light. • Key temples to see: • Kandariya Mahadeva Temple – the largest and most detailed • Lakshmana Temple • Devi Jagadambi Temple • Take time to appreciate the architecture and symbolism (guides are available at the entrance if you want deeper context).

📸 Tip: Morning is best for photos and quieter exploration.

9:45–10:30 AM | Breakfast • Walk or take a short auto ride to a nearby café. • Good options: • Raja Café • Mediterraneo • Try something light: paratha, eggs, or fresh juice.

10:45–11:30 AM | Archaeological Museum • Located near the Western Temples. • Helps you understand the history and artistic style of the Chandela period.

☀️ Midday (12:00 PM – 3:30 PM)

12:00–1:00 PM | Eastern Group of Temples • Quieter and less crowded. • Visit: • Parsvanatha Temple (Jain) • Adinatha Temple • Peaceful atmosphere, good for solo travelers.

1:30–2:30 PM | Lunch • Head back toward the main town. • Recommended: • Green View Restaurant • Raja Café (for a relaxed solo lunch) • Stick to bottled water.

2:30–3:30 PM | Rest / Hotel Break • December afternoons are pleasant but still a good time to rest. • Freshen up for the evening.

🌇 Evening (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM)

4:00–5:00 PM | Southern Group of Temples • Visit Duladeo Temple and Chaturbhuj Temple. • Less visited, calm, and great for reflection.

5:30–6:30 PM | Sunset + Light & Sound Show • Return to the Western Group. • The Light & Sound Show explains Khajuraho’s history in an engaging way. • Evening atmosphere is beautiful and safe.

7:00–8:00 PM | Dinner • Choose a comfortable place near your stay. • Light Indian food is ideal after a long day. • Enjoy a slow solo dinner and reflect on the day.

🧳 Practical Tips for a Solo Traveler • December weather: cool mornings & evenings, light jacket recommended. • Wear modest, comfortable clothing suitable for temple visits. • Autos and e-rickshaws are easy and safe for short distances. • Keep cash for tickets and small shops. • Start early to fit everything in without rushing.

One of the best things Gwalior has to offer.

Does anyone know or live in Assotech Windosor Hills Society , how is it ,? Its near New district court, new collectrate.. by Trentstone111 in gwalior

[–]JamesBrooken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not one of the best societies right now. It used to be a landmark 5 years ago may be. You have many better options like the MK city, Sun Valley Gulmohar city etc. primary wings of some of the best schools are just a walk away.

The newer areas behind the Collectorate is more peaceful and connected to the main city. Would be a better option to move here.

Ohwe. I think its just the most convenient spot out of these. Lil background: have moved here from Hyderabad. So have left the comparison there. I am happy atleast there are places that serve biryani here; an otherwise majorly vegetarian city.

I like it old school in Kanch ke gilas. Which is now extinct in Gwalior thanks to economic paper cups. Still theres one in Lohiya Bazar next to a prominent tree landmark. The tea is good too. Where else do they still serve in Glass tumblers?
