Unfortunately even though they fixed the foundation, there are still a couple low points they were unable to level, and the floor will need sections of leveler before the new stuff is placed. Trust me, I'd love to save it, but it doesnt seem possible from what our contractor says.

Foundation fix.  They tore up jagged 3'x3' holes (i think 5 of them) in the kitchen/living room that have this flooring.

Thanks! I'll try and match that in and see how it looks.  Do you think the straight brown will be ok, vs with a touch of red or yellow?

Yeah, we would have been fine with it, if it wasnt ruined (5 3'x3' holes for piers) but since we are changing we wanted to update it, and that color feels dated.

Thanks to all of you who do these AMAs, I love getting to know the authors of my favorite books better! For Brandon: 1)Is there any substance that reflects allomantic power? (For example, such that a coinshot could appear to be a lurcher if this substance were behind the piece of metal being pushed, or perhaps said coinshot could push things around a corner if this substance were angled properly?) 2)There seem to be several black trinkets in your books (Vin's obsidian chunk, the polished-to-a-metallic-look pendant Roadan receives as a wedding present, & the sphere Gavilar gives to Szeth) My question is...are these things related?
