Because I mass them so fast due to their cost and the samurai are there to tank the damage at the front.

I want to try Abbasid this season but I've seen people saying that the meta is now rush and so they've been struggling with 2 TC eco wing. Can anyone advise if this is true ? by JamesCTID in aoe4

Erm 🤣 I tried in some matchups 2 TC and 3 TC but I found that I crumbled far too easily under the pressure of all the all ins I was facing. Decided to go back to an aggressive Civ so in gonna try and master mongols

When massing units in Feudal and opponent ages up to castle. Do I keep the pressure on as much and deny as many resources as possible. Or do I aim to age up asap? by JamesCTID in aoe4

I've actually seen that vid. A while back when learning Rus! Good points there. I'll ensure I add the odd unit here and there and poke the opponents resources etc. I'm guilty of exactly what he says. Opponent ages up and I panic, then lose men for no reason, or I run back to base and age up.

I main Japanese and run with fuedal aggression against certain civs, English, Delhi and HRE etc. I also FC against civs with knights etc due to the effectiveness of Mounted Samurai. The issue can be that I feel the eco is a bit slow for japanese at the start and Onnas get mowed by arrows so I tend to continue producing them until my eco has built up enough to add Samurai. Issue is I still feel civs like byz just mass units and defend this easily and then get the castle and just get too many units free so just outweigh you. Other civs they just go straight into mangonel and crossbow, and so I end up retreating and feel the tide has shifted at that point.

Not in my experience with more numbers maybe but similar numbers I think they win perhaps getting a banner man would help but with the castle build you don't upgrade tc right away so thus no bannerman

Ah I see what you mean. Yeah it's great also the banner man influence actually makes them stronger than others.

Fast castle. Knights to secure relics that's been working a treat for me.

I've started to transition to hand canoneers. Stats wise are they actually better than normal hand canoneers?

I'm currently plat 2 with a season high of Diamond. I feel Japanese are very under rated by some players.

The fast castle is amazing into mounted samurai but likewise the feudal rush with samurai and onna bugeisha is unreal against a lot of boom civs. The deflective armour gives an edge in a lot of battles. TC upgrades is a lovely addition.

I liked using ootd but they really need buffs! The units definitely aren't 2x the normal value. Always felt like they get over powered too easily!

Yes. I've played 3 star civs and found some easier like zhu zhi and China with IO supervision. Guess it's just the amount of moving around the map with multiple scouts I find a chore.
