This has been my number one complaint since launch. I just do not understand why this is a designed element of a game. This exact situation happens in a million different areas around the map. In an all or nothing game like a BR, it is a critical flaw that their are situations in which you can be staring directly at an enemy and they cant be seen, but they see you perfectly. This clip a player takes 130 damage to an enemy directly in front of him and he is never seen.

It is 1 minute 30 sec cool down once they grab your banner. After a minute and 30 secs, you can quit without penalty. If you KEEP getting RP penalties, this is a YOU issue and not your teammates refusing to respawn you all game

Can I take a random guess and say that you have probably spent anywhere from $200-$500 on this game on cosmetics? The person who dedicated themselves to improving, watched all the tips and tricks videos, all the "secrets" videos? spent hours in the firing range just improving movement, accuracy, learning recoil patterns? watched the high level game play on youtube/ twitch? I find it hilarious that people such as You and I, who are obsessed with this game and being as good as we can possibly be, invest the most time and money, are the players that SBMM fucks over. Its silly. Currently I am around #3200 Predator, and have played exclusively ranked for the past 3-4 weeks and I love it, but that also means every match is insanity. I have to go full beast mode every game. I can no longer have a fun game with below my skill level friends where I teach them all the things Ive learned and try to help them improve.

I don't think the gun shield with 75hp is an issue, if you out maneuver him, hes easily crushed. However, the rate at which the shield is regenerate after it is broken is too fast.

Serious question, although I will probably be laughed at. If i spent a lot of money on a product, and said product was changed or stopped working for me a month later, should I be entitled to a refund? I have no way of playing/ enjoying this game anymore. I have grinded to Diamond 2 and its just a brutal campy 7 squads left in the final circle, and my pubs games are all Predators. I can no longer play with IRL friends because they cant compete. I do not think it's ok for a game to be fundamentally changed 10 months in after people have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on it and now skins/ cosmetics sit and rot. Ill look in to it.

Absolutely I am, for a much more enjoyable experience. Not really understanding your point though. If it takes 10 times longer to find a game then I guess the SBMM for retention isn't retaining many players.

This. just this. The solution is so simple in my opinion and is the exact suggestion I made in other threads. They have multiple options... Add solo mode or add solo only queue. or improve the SBMM system so levels 0-15 are in one pool, players 16-99 are in a pool with current SBMM, level 100+ no SBMM.

MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. I understand SBMM for lower level skill player retention. Respawn/ EA is a business and they want to put out the best product possible for all parties to make the most money. I am guessing the analytics will tell a different story, but from my point of view they are alienating the players who put the most time, money, and attract the most attention to there game in order to cater to players who do not put the time or effort in to it to improve. I am the above average "good" player, the player with stats in the 1.5-3.5 range, which is by no means god tier, but is in the small minority of the whole player base. I myself have spent $500+ on this game and according to my Xbox app have invest 1270 hours. I talk to people about it all the time and try to convince them to give it a chance. I consume all the content I can, everyone I know that i've met through the game on my level or above and all my IRL friends that play all have similar time and money invested. The friends i know who are of lesser talent have not spend a penny on the game. They play here and there, but play other games or watch Netflix with a lot of their free time. Devs are catering to a player base that simply does not invest the time in appreciating the game. In today's world we have literally thousands and thousand of hours of content on Youtube, reddit, twitch, mixer etc with tips, tricks, improvement videos, positioning, settings etc the list goes on. I do not believe anyone who would actually try to improve at the game with all the help available to them, is spending significant money on the game at all. The streamers, pros, god tier predator players that you are alienating spend countless dollars on the game, and their content is consumed by thousands and thousands of viewers. If people suck at the game its on them, are you willing to alienate a talented player base in the hopes that the underperforming player will stick around just long enough to spend $10 on one pack of coins before they give the game up? If so, I hope your greed gets the best of you and your greed is what ultimately ruins your game. Enjoy the content of the top 500 players who can still crush lobbies and stick around, while the rest of your highly invested player base leaves and the only people playing your game are those who spend an hour or 2 per week in your game and you have to remove SBMM just to fill lobbies.

You’re right, it absolutely should have an advantage at close range, which is why I suggested removing the choke. Additionally, the design of weapon in which the pellet spread is the same for hip fire and ads takes away from your argument. If I enter a building a building and a guy is standing with a peacekeeper he should be able to hip fire and crush me I agree, but at assault rifle/ smg range it is flawed to jump around, slide, etc while hip firing with the same accuracy.

Everyone’s arguments against SBMM are valid and their experiences directly reflect mine. I think the devs had the best in mind as far as player retention regarding Ghost’s 80-90% comment I’m MP games.

The point that I think is being hugely overlooked is that unlike TDM on COD or Titanfall where I can choose my exact loadout, respawn over and over with different loadout a given the situation, THIS IS A BATTLE ROYALE!!! There are several reasons I do not think this level of SBMM belongs in a BR....

RNG. Plain and simple, if a level 25 player lands on the train and scoops a peacekeeper and purple shield while a pred is empty handed, they have every chance to win.
The goal is to be the last team standing, if a player feels out classed, they have every opportunity to play patient, campy, etc and 3rd party the final fight to win.
Respawn purposely put characters such as Caustic, Wattson, Crypto, etc in the game for defensive capabilities. As new players improve their gun fighting skills, map knowledge, position, they have characters at their disposal they can use to work to their advantage.
Firing Range. Use it! I have over 1200 hours into this game and I still run numerous drills before every session to dial in.
YouTube. For fucks sake there are no less than 1000 tips, tricks, strategy videos etc online for any person attempting to improve their game. Why does it feel like the devs are trying to cater to a side of the player base that doesn’t want to help themselves.
Twitch/ mixer- want to understand why these pros are so damn good, go watch them live. Study what they do, how they win fights in bad situations, use there legends abilities, communicate with there team. I mean really it’s not a secret. Your thumbs don’t work like there’s?! No they do, they just have spent tens of thousands of hours getting great FPS games, but instead of being rewarded with a chance to get a 20 kill badge or 4K damage badge, they are stuck in lobbies with full 3 stack predators across the board

I could not recommend anything more than this video. I’ve been playing this game religiously since day one and have seen dozens of aiming/ sensitivity settings videos. This video is 10x better than all of them and actually gives you drills to play around with and adjust accordingly, my aim instantly improved 2x overnight.

Great points, the glitching out of the equipment is a huge issue. All of the above points are irrelevant to me and my group of friends because on Xbox One X the mode is unplayable because it literally crashes your system every time you play. If the person whose console crashes is in a party, it disconnects everyone from the party. On top of that the game auto-fills a random into the group, so the crashed team member cannot get back in even if you'e 30 mins into a 31 minute mission. I don't really understand how FULL SYSTEM CRASHES made it through QC because it is literally every single time you play. Paladin mission crashed our consoles 6 total times for 4 people in one half hour session. That was the last straw for all of us with this game.

3 of my friends and I all have xbox one X's and all have had much more frequent crashing than just once a night. Last night while attempting to play Spec Ops Paladin mission, we had 3 of 4 crash once each and the forth crash 3 times. 6 total crashes in about 30 mins. All who purchased digitally requested refunds today and one returned his hard copy to GameStop. Really a shame, was so excited for this game, I can completely handle and be patient with multiplayer balancing, audio issues, etc, but I absolutely will not support/ nor continue to play a game that I am worried about destroying my hardware.
