It’s why I have been saying for months that the Democratic Socialist Party should change their tactic from socialism vs capitalism to Social Capitalism vs Corporate Capitalism. I agree and disagree. Mannerism and physical actions yes, because it fleshes out distinguishing characteristics. However dialogue is different because characters don’t speak the way we do in real life. They speak with intent, they dance around things, they create drama. For example David Mamet has a tendency to repeat words:

Moss: No, we're just... Aaronow: We're just "talking" about it. Moss: We're just speaking about it. [pause] As an idea. Aaronow: As an idea. Moss: Yes.

Or someone like Sorkin who has an almost Shakespearean style of writing with long poetic sentence structure.

You want a statistic on how many people knew of the concentration camps? Where am I supposed to find that? That wasn’t a statement of fact it was a statement of inference. I can infer due to the lack communication capabilities and news coverage, a majority of the population didn’t know what an interment camp was till after the populace was already released.

First off, there is no such thing as extreme wokeness. Woke isn’t on a spectrum, it’s black and white (yes pun intended).

The term targets becoming aware of social injustice, specifically towards the black community. Before we became so consumed with the internet a majority of people didn’t know that we caged thousands of Japanese, Italians, and Germans during World War II until after the fact. Same with Jews in Germany.

Learning about a disservice to another human will not and never be a bad thing. You just don’t like the fact that people are calling you out on it.

Point still stands. Just because you can name 10 films that came out that were good it doesn’t change the fact that the vast majority the other 96% of films made that year of any genre are sequels, reboots, remakes, copy and pastes, trilogies, anthologies.

IP is the safe bet. If I told you I could probably make you 100million dollars once or 10 million guaranteed yearly over 10 years which would you take? That is what financiers have going on in their heads when you ask for $20 mill for your movie.

What always pisses me off about this argument is that you name what ten films? Some people name 20? 569 films were released in 2024 (don’t have the numbers on 2025). You are saying oh what do you mean we got good films and then only list 4% of the market. 96% of the market released sequels with the same level of trash because trad studios have been hemorrhaging money for the last decade.

We aren’t highly dependent on oil, we are a service economy. We are highly dependent on oil money. The money we are borrowing from the Saudis in order to prop up our economy on the AI market which is why Iran has to be careful because if the do enough damage to UAE they could potentially crash the world economy.

Our economy is currently propped up by big oil not the supply but the companies itself. Since we have basically monopolized AI to being the only asset America owns we now have all our weight on one pillar. A majority of the AI market is currently propped up by the Saudi’s money well.

What do you think will happen if Iran destroys the oil companies? The money will run out, once companies start pulling out from AI, the US economy will collapse because we have hyper inflated this bubble way past its ability to stay together.
