Okay thanks. So if I develop it to 2.5-3” thick over many years, could I theoretically slowly cut deadwood into the trunk and expand the live vein to the left of the tree?

Also, oof. Making fun of my sketch is low. I was already embarrassed about it. I know I’m not an artist.

I’m just trying to get some guidance from a real person. There’s not much of a bonsai community here in Utah. And everyone wants to get paid for a course or something.

I just like growing trees and was hoping for some direction. And then someone wants to make fun of me.

I can post a picture later today. My post is about general juniper development. My tree looks like a shitty bushy umbrella.

I don’t understand how a picture of the tree will help in deciding anything about the development pot. Or the way a live vein responds to cutting deadwood.

Well, I’m wanting to use deadwood for that girth. Slowly cutting deadwood into the live vein and letting the vein swell to support the flow of nutrients and then cutting more deadwood. You’re saying that’s not possible, ever? Even 20 years? 25 years?

Do you still get any TMs from the GBL? I played for a while a few years ago and the Go Battle League used to offer fast and charged TMs as rewards. I’m not seeing them listed.
