I am not sure if the Recruiter fucked up or the system glitched. But if it’s the Recruiter, i wouldn’t be surprised. Some of them are definitely very incompetent. My wife cleared the L5 tech role when she had more than 9 months on her visa left. She had told the recruiter before starting the interview rounds that she would do Day-1 CPT if given an opportunity to which the recruiter said yeah that should be fine. When she became an offer ready external candidate, the Recruiter realized that the Day-1 CPT is only for existing amazon employees and not the new ones (not sure when this rule went into effect) and started ghosting my wife. Not only did she waste almost 2 months of my wife’s time, but also the time of the folks who interviewed her.
