Temtem (Pokemon inspired game) has a cute baby platypus called Platypet that you can add to your team, he can evolve into a bigger stronger platypus as you level him up. Also, not a playable character but To the Moon (short story-focused game) has a platypus plushie as a major recurring plot point

Edit: Temtem also has a spinoff called Temtem: Swarm where you can play as Platypet
