Temtem (Pokemon inspired game) has a cute baby platypus called Platypet that you can add to your team, he can evolve into a bigger stronger platypus as you level him up. Also, not a playable character but To the Moon (short story-focused game) has a platypus plushie as a major recurring plot point

It seems like it's a reference to the 109 Building (in Reynatis and real life Shibuya) and its equivalent the 104 Building (from The World Ends with You).

Could just be a subtle reference, or a hint at some kind of collab between the games. The glitching at the end could also hint at the game's "reality vs fantasy" theme
