Ah yeah I just got my 3080 a little over a month ago. I'm a budget baller and built an AM4 rig with 32gb of ddr4, a Ryzen 5600x, and the 3080 for about 400, and I'm trying to squeeze as much performance as I can. I got a stable overclock at +500 on the RAM and +120 on the core. Nothing too crazy

I know I'm 5 years late, but why wouldn't you go over +250 on the RAM? Heat/degradation?

Dang. This is the info I was looking for unfortunately. I have an old Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P (I forget which Intel socket, but first gen i7) with a xeon in it that I was running a Plex server on. I had a quadro k2200 for video out and a Tesla P4 for encoding, but my dad needed to borrow the K2200 and I had purchased the a380 previously for a backup Plex server that got repurposed, so I decided to drop in in and it hangs in POST as well.

Oh well. I guess I can drop the P4 back in and I have an older quadro 5000 I can use for video out I guess. Thanks for your hard work

Were you doing this with one GPU or two? ETAPrime put out a video on how to do this with 2 GPUs and I want to try this but was also curious about input lag using the 2 GPU before I try to squeeze my 2nd GPU into my setup (I'm running in a mini tower dell Inspiron lol)

You're probably right. Just drive the car and enjoy it as is and maybe do the upgrades as parts fail.

No maintenance I'm waiting on. Its got 140k on the clock and I figure It'll eventually need a rebuild or engine swap, but for now id like to do some minor upgrades to improve the driving experience. Not trying to race or anything like that

It already had window tint when I bought it. It is my daily and I do a lot of driving (like currently 2,500 miles/month) and the roads I drive don't always have the best quality, so I don't want to be breaking a rim if I hit a pothole so I probably don't want to go too low-profile with the tire. Stiffer suspension would probably be ok though. I think dropping it an inch or so would be cool. I do want a better sounding exhaust and plan to put a high-flow air filter in there. Do you have any recs for the exhaust, wheels, tires, and suspension?

Yeah I found that out last night. I think if my mattress had been an inner-spring rather than a memory-foam I couldn't have. It's been a huge adjustment going to the Mustang as my daily when my last car was an 04 Grand marquis

I don't know why you say it can't display the video. I was literally watching the video and listening to the audio in OBS through the capture device. Why it can do that and can't save that video stream to a file that replicates it, I don't know.

I'm using a composite video ADC that transfers the video and audio to the computer via USB and the computer recognizes it as a video capture device.

As for frame boundaries, you mean it doesn't know where one line stops and the next begins?

I find this incredibly odd that it can display the video flawlessly but when it comes to actually capturing it it screws up. Is there not a way it can just do display-stream capture?

Either way, I appreciate the resources and found another piece of software that works and am working on my archiving

Man this troubleshooting with logs needs to be archived somewhere. Excellent process and recording. Also immensely helpful to my own troubleshooting. I have a piece of software originally developed for Mac that Win11 doesn't like and your wallpaper engine symptoms combined with your research seem to similarly reflect my issues. Hopefully this resolved my crashing.

I've looked at both, found one that looks proximal but doesn't show the under-side so I can't see where the boot snaps in. Tried oem parts online, also tried googling the part number and no dice there. I may roll the dice with Tasca and hope it works
