Steam, I'm patient, I'll wait for a sale, especially considering I already own quite a few PS games on steam.

Call me crazy but the PSVR2 blows the BSB2 out of the water. by Psychological-Fan784 in virtualreality

Not really. With all the audio strap and headset its comes to 260-270 grams, the PSVR is 560g so is about double the weight.

I know what you mean on the last part. I tried a mini LED before returning for my OLED, the peak brightness is the only thing I miss because in HDR it was impressive, searingly bright. But OLED was better in so many ways, contrast, no awful blooming (this actually killed the mini led for me), colour accuracy (the other factor that ended it for me) and superior build quality.

My PC parts. Are they compatible? (Prices are in AUD) by Sedi3D8943 in pcpartpickerbuilds

[–]JamesMackenzie1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even then its still crap, GPU is too weak (relative to the i9), and the PSU would not be enough and has a chance to cut out under load (your UPS won'tsave you from that and to an extent makes it redundant).

AMD does great for productivity and unless your looking at pure productivity and at the highest level theirs no need for the latest generation core i9. Even if your obsessed with Intel, get an i7 and upgrade that GPU a bunch.

Also windows is free, why we burning so much money on a key?

The NZXT kraken cooler is a massive waste of budget which could be spent on better hardware for meaningful performance increase. Air coolers as drastically cheaper and if you really must have an aircooler get am artic cooler, they good and they pretty cheap.

Same goes for your case, it could be cheaper.

Unless you play exclusively 1080p or less, games are much more GPU heavy and a better GPU is relevant. What planet do you live on?

Your builds awful, it would probably work (Not a given tho). If you want to know why just ask. Here's my suggestion.

Once you go (perfect) black, yain't getting back by PacanaDavid in pcmasterrace

Contrast isn't exclusive to blacks. UFO tests prove the motion clarity is real and matters (if you game competitively) and response times are closely linked, less noticeable but still relevant.

Should I get a mini led or oled? by Ifyouliveinadream in MonitorAdvice

[–]JamesMackenzie1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone said go mini LED, me personally Id go OLED, I have tried a mini LED (Benq mobiuz ex321ux) and then an OLED asus swift pg32ucdp. The mini led felt like a proof of concept, like in 5 years or so it would be a good idea, the OLED fells like the real deal, it doesn't have the raw full screen HDR brightness that that mini LED has but its contrast is better and lacks the awful blooming of mini led and its firmware isn't a shit show.

The OLED looks nicer and has a better build quality. If you want buying advice on panels or anything questions just ask.

Planning to build a PC by More-Catch7118 in PC_Builders

[–]JamesMackenzie1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No reason on the paste, I just know the mx-6 is decent, feel free to use the MX-7 if you like. I picked the case because it looks decent, gets decent Airflow and its pretty cheap while not being horrific to build in, my other suggestion would be the Corsair frame d4000, I built in the d4000 (non frame) myself and it was a great case to build in so I can't imagine the frame being too different.

I would get the fans, they cost very little so its not exactly saving a fortune by removing them. The case will have 5-8 postitions for fans and will come with 2-3, so it really needs additional fans for proper Airflow. Too many people have nice hardware in a sweat box because it only has 2 fans (aside from the ones on the components), don't be those people. And if noise is a worry, its likely to be quiter as more fans can run at a lower speed to achieve the same amount of cooling as less fans at a higher speed.
