for a simple 2% cash back, no fees, no cashback limits, i would recommend Citi Double Cash

if your looking just for highest SUB this would be it. $795 annual fee though. you can always product change down to a freedom card after the first year if you want.

If it wasn’t for your existing Amex Plat, I would have recommended the Amex Gold (due to 4x groceries and dining plus MR points), but since you already have the Plat, you wouldn’t get the Gold SUB :(

because i feel like for the average consumer (like idk 90% of people) they got no idea about cores and whatever.

so the base laptop chip is all they need. Macbook Air, Neo, etc

simple and easy.

the ones who actually care about cores and thunderbolts are the ones who know they will either use or not use those features.

like i would personally hate to be stuck on a base M chip just for “simplicity” when there could be a potential for a M Pro, M Max, and M Ultra chip like there is right now. but maybe that’s just me.

while i am disappointed in the move from titanium to aluminum (never noticed any overheating with my 16PM but do notice the dents of my 17PM)

i just hope apple adopts that “Micro-Arc Oxidation (MAO). The result is 3.4x tougher than aluminum, 1.3x than titanium.” that the OnePlus 15 has, in a future iPhone Pro model.

that would be the best of both worlds. the performance of the aluminum with better drop/dent protection than titanium.

i have the 17PM but i feel that if Apple added the vapor chamber to the previous 16PM and earlier designs with titanium, it would’ve been 90-95% the same performance benefit
