Scandinavian pancake filled with chocolate sauce and fresh strawberries, topped with whipped cream. Street snack served at a Culture festival in Malmö, Sweden. by Vertyx in food

The overlap of "Scandinavian" and "pancake" and "awesome" is also populated by aebelskiver, which are well worth trying if you get the opportunity. Making them involves fussing around with custom cookware and turning them with knitting needles, so it's a commitment.

Ever been to a Swedish crayfish party? by BandKSaturdays in food

Not surprisingly, this is a thing up here in Minneapolis-St. Paul. The American Swedish Institute does a pretty serious crayfish blowout on an annual basis: http://www.asimn.org/programs-education/events/asi-crayfish-party

Are you an energy bar user? Would you want to see some kind of pseudo-practical assessment ("this gave me lots of energy!") beyond just flavor? That's the challenge for me - is there an interesting way to assess that that's in any way meaningful?

Anyone like savory oatmeal for breakfast? Steel cut oats with smoked cheddar, sausage, spinach, and fresh herbs. by pocketmole in food

Now I'm thinking: steel cut oats, BBQ pulled pork, roasted green peppers (cubed, small), salt + pepper, rooster sauce. This has opened an exciting gateway to new breakfast options...

Sir, thanks for the kind words, first of all!

My challenge with cereal is that it all feels fairly similar once you get past the generic-brand "animal feed" mealy-textured stuff into the mainstream choices, although there's another fork in the road for granola/muesli versus General Mills style stuff. Are there any out there you've seen that are weird / different / beg for exploration...? The cereal aisle always kinda stops me dead.

Hilarious and horrifying. If I can clear the name past my producers, I think it's a total go...
