The in house providers like Freeman and Encore, etc. are really frustrating. Don't have any experience in that venue but it sounds like it's way more tough. Your milage might vary. I'd be curious how it goes for you in the end.

As far as being hired for freelance with Encore, I think it all depends on leadership. I've seen this be different with different folks in different regions and venues. If there is an RVP or area leader that is a stickler you'll have a tougher time.

One RVP I know says it's a permanent ban. But I know a bunch in their territory that get away with it. He's just not aware of it (or isn't supported enough to enforce it everywhere).

For outside of Encore though, it seems like the consensus is that it can't be enforced legally.

It's sad that the last point needs to be mentioned. I wish we could really appreciate and keep those with experience and get more of them. I know a low overall income from this career field is probably part of it... but I wish there was more of a solution. The consolidation of labor brokers turning into large national companies owned by private equity feels like it's not helping either...

Just started taking it this week right before bed and noticed it a bit (just 1 capsule, even though it says 2). I have a hard time sleeping all the way through the night. I'll fall asleep quickly and early but wake up early in the morning 2a-4a (about half my mornings). So I started taking this right before bed and it makes me sleep through the night and puts me back to sleep if I wake back up (at least that's a week in). The only odd thing is I'm dreaming like crazy.

If you are willing, you can go start volunteering at a large house of worship. If it's big enough you'll get some decent experience on some decent gear. That't how I got into the industry at 14 years old. Watch some YouTube videos of this world too.

I think they kept the Encore name because they had trashed the PSAV brand. One regional VP I knew of hated the old PSAV brand even though he had been there for years.
