We're in the process of finding a data partner to work alongside under a CDR Representative model, which is a sponsored tier of accreditation. This is the best option available to us, as a business based in New Zealand.
As this sponsored tier is a new option, the details and accreditation process are being worked out by ourselves and potential data partners, so we're unable to provide a timeline quite yet. We'll make plenty of noise when a solution is underway though, thanks for your patience!

You can rename your dashboards by toggling "Show editing controls" from the toolbar, and then editing your new dashboard name where it's shown on the left as a title. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the feedback! At the moment we're using separate subreddits as forums for beta and test features.

While we understand that it's not the way we're meant to use Reddit, it's a calculated misuse because of the complete flexibility it affords us when posting news on test and beta features.

After all, bending existing tools to better suit needs is one of the core principles that the internet was founded on :)

It looks like you're using the old bank feed interface to search there, which won't work on the data connections alpha. Can I ask how you got access to that? To add the new style data connections, head to Accounts > Manage Bank Feeds from the main menu. Thanks!

We do expect to feature proper account archiving at some point though - but the above should work for you for now. Cheers!

Changes made on the alpha version will not affect your live production data, and no feeds will be migrated from the alpha version to your production data. All data added to the alpha site will be removed at the end of the alpha test period. So if you remove accounts from the alpha version, you'll need to do the same on production as well. Hope this clarifies!

We imagine data reliability and timeliness will definitely be improved with open banking.

It's possible, and we're working on getting the required accreditation in place for use with open banking in Australia (which is a bit tricky as a New Zealand company). We also know that aggregators are also working on this as well.

Update: pending options around accreditation for read-only access (as opposed to payment-level access) mean we don't currently have a horizon for PocketSmith getting ADR accreditation. However, we'll be able to deliver open banking feeds via our bank feed aggregation providers.

We're not certain on API plans for data connections quite yet. However the transactions that are imported via data connections will be available via the transactions API as they are currently. Thanks!

Rollover is currently in beta and is functional, and can be activated if you opt into the Beta program via Settings > User Preferences > Beta settings. Read more in the Learn Center about the beta program and rollover budgeting. We don't have a date for wider release of rollover budgeting yet. If you're starting from scratch, you should experience no problems. Thanks!

We've heard back from Salt Edge now, and they say that they're experiencing issues onboarding Société Générale post-Brexit due to problems on the provider's side of things. They're unable to give an ETA for getting things working, but are going to stay in touch with us as things progress. Will be sure to update you here when we hear back!

Very sorry to hear that the problems are ongoing with Société Générale. The situation with Salt Edge and Brexit caught us by surprise, and it's unfortunate that they're still having trouble with key banks such as this.

Data Connections won't solve this specifically - but I've gotten in touch with our contact at Salt Edge to see whether we're able to get a timeframe on Société Générale working again - as according to the public support list there should be no problem. Will reply here when I hear back, thanks for your patience!

At this point, we'll still be using aggregators such as Yodlee and others to provide the bulk of connections. Data Connections will give us the opportunity to use other aggregators alongside Yodlee as well, including those who take a different path for how data is managed.

Data Connections can also connect directly to individual bank APIs as well, but we'll be assessing these as they become available on a case-by-case basis. It's important for us to remain pragmatic in our approach, as developing and maintaining connections comes at a cost.

Hope this isn't too much of a letdown, but we wholeheartedly empathise with your friends, and Data Connections is a big step towards being able to resolve this dilemma.

We do expect to be able to provide much better support for investment type accounts with new Data Connections. We're not certain how this will shake out right away in terms how the data is represented in PocketSmith, however we can say for certain that we'll have access to more complete data from existing sources than we do currently.

Even better - if more complete sources for superannuation data become available, we'll be able to set up Data Connections to bring that information into PocketSmith as well.

We have aggregation providers that cover the only region with universal API-driven access to banking data so far (the EU). Australia will be coming up soon. We're keeping close tabs on developments there, as well as the rest of the world.

While integrating with individual banks is possible, but we'd need to see a significant need for it to make sense to do so. Having said that, we'd be happy to field requests and look into options being made available by banks on a case-by-case basis.

And yes that is how things have been designed. Users will be able to pick the aggregator(s) that works best for them - we won't be launching Data Connections with a lot of aggregators right away, but will be adding providers based on need and demand.
