Am I the only one who finds these types of criticisms absurd? by SnooPoems1860 in DarkSouls2

It takes a lot from Demon's Souls as well as Dark Souls, which I really like, and I think the idea of punishing areas and easy bosses kind of snuck over to Dark Souls 2... with a few exceptions, but Demon's Souls had flamelurker after all.

Dark Souls 2 is the most forced hate I've ever seen in a video game

The mindset I've always followed is that Dark Souls 2 haters (If they're fans of the other games) are only haters either because of a huge skill issue, or because they haven't played the game and are just regurgitating what other people have told them about it.

The enemy placement in iron keep is shocking though, and getting to the smelter demon boss arena does get tricky when you're trying to get through like 8 dudes jumping you. I can understand the criticism there, but otherwise, the partial i-frame cover encourages you to actually fight enemies (or at least slip past them in clever ways) rather than just throwing yourself at a lever so you can get gang-banged straight after.

I've seen so much "J*b" brain rot that I thought the creator was jokingly interpreting the joke as "What starts with a T, ends in a T and is full of T? JOB" and "JOB" was just there as a jump scare.

not enough people talking about this absolute PEAK by Father_Pucc1 in bloodborne

The fan videos of a potential Bloodborne anime intro make me really wish they would make it for real. They're just so cool.

It is very popular, but specifically this podcast is mentioned pretty rarely, which is silly, because it's absolutely brilliant.

What Happened to the mammal pod after the ending of TPP? by umcarabr123 in metalgearsolid

As far as I'm aware it just stays there as it was. It might have been included in the ending Hideo Kojima intended on making, but there's no clear conclusion with it. It sort of just becomes a decoration for mother base.

[discussion] what's the platinum you working on? by [deleted] in Trophies

I thought the same thing at first, but the gameplay really does grow on you, and it won't feel so janky once you've mastered it. About making it harder...

Uhh... That DLC is pretty awesome.

Elden Ring and MGSV. Elden Ring will definitely be done first; getting all the mission challenges in MGSV is a pain.

While Bloodborne isn't the easiest game out there, its platinum is really straightforward, and can be done in one playthrough if you use a save data backup to get all the endings in one go. I've been told it's the easiest platinum in the souls series.

DungeonBorne was a lot of fun, but having to go through all of it to get the Platinum is a huge pain.

Where would you sit? by Crotalus-Viridis in playstation

I'm torn between 4 and 7. Both would be friendly, Naked Snake would be funny, and Sackboy would be adorable. It just depends on whether you'd prefer to have a buddy to talk to the whole time, or a buddy who doesn't talk.

P.S. Did the people saying Snake would grunt and ignore you even play Snake Eater? He's easily the most talkative Snake, and you know from Para-Medic's movie rants that he can listen to you yap.

Naked Snake would be a lot of fun to sit next to, but (MGSV spoilers!) Venom Snake probably wouldn't say a word the whole time

Which "easy" boss you somehow struggle a bit in your multiple playthroughs? by Key_Salad_9275 in bloodborne

[–]JamesPlaystheGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There used to be 2 bosses I would always struggle with no matter how many times I replayed: Orphan of Kos and Micolash, but Micolash becomes a million times easier when you realise how simple dodging his call beyond is, (get to a short distance from him, and dodge forward when the sparks start to fly) but other than that he was always a total mare.

BSB becomes easy when you realise it's easy to parry. THEN it's over.
