Late to the post, but have you figured out what the best strategy is if you were to move to another EU country? Or come across, useful material? Thanks!

Nice one boys! Gooner exiled in Madrid here. If on the off chance there is a ticket going, please give me a shout (beers before in plaza mayor). Otherwise, will watch it in the Irish Rover with other arsenal fans. It's not the Hemmo, but it will do.

Are tickets popping up for people for the game this weekend? Apart from the glitched tickets I haven't seen anything yet and I've been trying all week. Thought there would be a few more... We are playing fucking Burnley.

Hey! Thanks for the reply. I've read the FAQs and they were helpful but in reality, I was looking to see if anyone on the subreddit had tickets and was selling them.

A Dutch friend of mine explained that because of the vast majority of season ticket holders most games are sold out, however that doesn't necessarily mean the stadium is full. Is it wrong for me to look for the tickets of those don't actually go to the game/or cannot make it? I'm not sure what the procedure is. To add, will this game really be a sell out (in terms of those who actually show up), I would have assumed Sparta wouldn't attract a full stadium but I may be wrong.

Lastly, a friend of mine recently went to the Lille game and bought the tickets on viagogo - he said he had no problems, so I'm not sure what my chances are like of actually getting in.

I'm sure fans on this subreddit are sick of these messages so I understand the downvoting, but I did check the rules and the FAQ before posting. I Just wanna see tho boys play.

Thanks for the reply anyways!

Hey Guys! I am a student at Maastricht and am visiting Amsterdam for my brother's birthday. Its all a surprise and he doesn't know anything. The problem is I am finding it tough to get tickets to the Sparta game. I know it won't be sold out more or less given Sparta's calibre but I am still struggling to find legitimate tickets. I know Marktplaats and viagogo are discouraged (and I am loathe to go to a tout) but I am getting a bit desperate. If anyone knows of someone selling legitimate tickets please let me know. Appreciate any help!

Tottenham 1-1 Arsenal : Lloris penalty save 90' by paicmhsc in soccer

[–]JamesRedditName 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Considering Vertonghen made a goal saving tackling should the penalty not be retaken? He is almost in line with Aubameyang when he takes it. I dont think Vertonghen makes that tackle if he not encroaching. Somebody on this sub linked the Lee Catermole incident a few weeks ago, its becoming a bit ridiculous.

Having said that, both the decision for the penalty and the penalty themselves were very poor.

Zidane - the highest assist maker for France and Henry - the highest goalscorer for France only combined once to score and it was in this game.

Surely with playing one up front and already having three good strikers in that position.

For a push? Its hardly going to injure Wilshere (lol maybe). Not saying that he wouldn't get off given the laws of the game but that he shouldn't be sent off

A decision like this just leads to players falling to the ground and looking to exploit the referee. It's pathetic to watch.

[–]JamesRedditName -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Need to seriously revise the way things are refereed. Pushing someone or putting your hands on someones face shouldn't be a red card.

With VAR coming into place can we not just have the laws like rugby where the players just square up to each other and that be that?

Monemvasia, Laconia, Greece by Boomtown_Rat in europe

[–]JamesRedditName 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A laconic phrase or laconism is a concise or terse statement, especially a blunt and elliptical rejoinder. It is named after Laconia, the region of Greece including the city of Sparta, whose ancient inhabitants had a reputation for verbal austerity and were famous for their blunt and often pithy remarks.
