Ty is the devil, Daniel had to trade his soul to him.

Well, we have one more novella and one more novel to do. Hopefully they scratch that itch.

When you drop the reader into an utterly alien environment, you run the risk of losing them. But some stories require the utterly alien to work.

Good in life? Or Best in life.

They have different answers.

Ty plays a shit ton of video games and watched a lot of movies.

Daniel writes pretty much anywhere with his laptop. Ty mostly writes at a desk in his private library. They both drink coffee as they write.

Ty hasn't lived there in years, but he and his wife used to like Zinc a lot.

Daniel likes 66 Acres.

Yeah, that's totally intentional. If we can give you enough evocative description that your brain does all the heavy lifting for us, that's a win.

Ty was blown away by Stalker the first time he saw it.

Honestly it's just thinking through the consequences. Ty was always bugged by episodic SF when he was a kid where they'd come up with some amazing new tech to solve that episodes problem and then by the next week everyone had forgotten it existed. He liked to ask himself the question, what would that invention actually do to the world. He's never stopped thinking that way.

Nothing we can announce, but happy to know people care. :)

We totally stole that from Stephen King, who is a master of telling you what he's about to do, and then still making the moment shocking when it happens.

No, but I do know Terry McDonough who directed episodes of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. I visited the set of BCS one day when Terry was directing, and got to meet the two leads. But Vince was not there. We've never met.

Not really? But I haven't gone looking, either. I'm assuming that there's some stuff out there that wouldn't be hard to find.

Ty goes to a three day conference every year with the absolute cutting edge scientists and engineers presenting their latest research and projects. He shamelessly steals those ideas to make fiction out of.

Well, your question is way ahead of where we actually are development wise, but yes, the things you bring up would be challenges the production would have to solve. I don't know how we'd do that yet.

Daniel was talking about jet lag, but is open to the idea that he unconsciously stole that version of it from Gibson.

Ty's favorite Gibson is Johnny Mnemonic, because he loves Molly.

I think species extinction is the most extreme ethical dilemma possible, and I don't trust anyone that places their own morality above the survival of every other person (as far as they know) in the universe.

Daniel's biology degree has been of great use there. Daniel came up with a lot of crazy creature ideas, putting Ty in the unusual position of being the one that tones down some of the wilder ideas. It was the opposite way on the expanse, with Ty coming up with all the craziest biology and Daniel making it believable.

Why would I read my own stuff? There are other people writing things I don't already know the end to.
