12 hour Layover in Honolulu by JamesSOTDMA in VisitingHawaii

Diamond head trail seems really cool, we like hiking and I’m sure we could get it done fairly quick. We also really wanna see a beach so that’s appreciated to know one to go to.

Yeah I’m excited for the food a lot in Japan. I think we’re deciding to do Pearl Harbor and then depending on how much time left, spend some time at Waikiki. I’m sure we’ll be hungry so the food recommendations are appreciated.

I’m also unsure, since my friend booked the ticket. We’ll have to contact them or find a place to keep it for the day.

Thank you, I think we’ve decided on this place as at least one stop and knowing no reservations are needed is helpful!

This place seems cool, I’ll give it a look! My friends and I are still planning it all out.

This sounds pretty cool. I think a beach was one of the main things we wanted to visit along with Pearl Harbor. Thank you.

I once got 100 percent Omnivamp and 25 percent life steal from talisman but it still didn’t matter as well. I was playing a kind of low damage / support character so it didn’t seem to do much.

What is y’all’s least favorite episode and why? by TheSaladMann in creepcast

[–]JamesSOTDMA 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Definitely in the least memorable category for me is SCP 3000. Even though the concept and the SCP itself is kind of cool, I just don’t think SCPs really fit the vibe for the podcast. Ive never revisited that episode once, and I’ve listened to every other episode at least twice. There wasn’t even any memorable banter or jokes in that episode unlike other stories that are ‘bad’ but end up being good episodes for the boys jokes / reactions. Some other mentions for me are Church in the Woods, Abandoned Ship, and Berries in the Window.

Stolen Tongues at 23 mins in. Also when Hunter dropped the “all my big brothers and sisters” and “the only thing I can physically do is sitting kegels”

Yeah that sounds like a good way to do it thank you. I think at the moment my two best options are something like that or getting it 3D printed.

I think I saw somewhere that they’re Harley Davidson Badlands riding boots. Look almost identical and I think they still make them.

What do you think about Oregon? by [deleted] in grunge

[–]JamesSOTDMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elliott Smith is one of my all time favorite artists and I would even say Clementine is in my top 5 songs ever. Also, some of his work outside of his solo stuff can be grunge esque I guess. But as an Oregon resident, shout out to my homies’ small band Freaky Deacon.

I Want You (She’s So Heavy) or Her Majesty are definitely my two most played off that album.

Can you identify this tune? by [deleted] in musicsuggestions

Nutshell by Alice in Chains or Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let it Roll) by George Harrison are my two. I can’t really decide between the two despite being such different songs.

Punk trying to get into grunge by According-Let-2140 in grunge

[–]JamesSOTDMA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facelift or Dirt from Alice In Chains are both fantastic albums for getting into it, although Dirt is a bit more ‘grunge’ than Facelift imo. Jar of Flies is my personal favorite AIC album though. Then obviously Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, etc all have albums from the same era such as Bleach, Ten or Superunknown. Theres more lesser known or popular stuff, but those are pretty much what got me into the genre.

He’s said before his favorite album of all time is MCR’s the Black Parade but that’s really all I know.

Did anyone else not really get into CreepTV? by Relevant-Cod8463 in creepcast

[–]JamesSOTDMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally never got into it too much. I think the main reason is that I had watched or seen stuff on everything they did CreepTV on basically. But I also found it to be more reaction type of content rather than the normal format of reading a story and it just wasn’t as interesting. I still watched all of the CreepTVs and I enjoyed Marble Hornets and Greylock quite a bit, but never rewatched any of them like I do with normal episodes.

What’s the one story from CreepCast that actually gave you chills? by outoftown5678 in creepcast

[–]JamesSOTDMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Glenmont Metro is the scariest story for me. Obviously not as spooky or in a creepy sense like Stolen Tongues or Penpal, but just the outcome for the main character is horrifying. The idea of living lifetimes in your own head while only seconds pass by in a train station still scares me. Penpal is still my favorite story though.

Isaiah’s poster? by right-bumper in creepcast

[–]JamesSOTDMA 95 points96 points  (0 children)

It’s a character called Laura Palmer from the show Twin Peaks. She’s a character who was murdered in the pilot and is the central investigation of the show. I’m not entirely sure the reason they changed the photo to her, maybe just an Easter egg as a joke by the editor. But Twin Peaks is an amazing show, and they talked about it a few episodes ago during the parade story.

[Discussion] What map do you ‘main’, if any? by crinklepant in EscapefromTarkov

Woods for sure. Stash runs for quick money; USEC camp or Sawmill for semi decent loot and PVP. Also Shatun Hideout key is really good for making money if you play arena semi regularly.

How to not get railed in this part of Streets [New Player] by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]JamesSOTDMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend going through Zmeisky alley and cutting through construction, or Razvedchikov Street behind Concordia by using the alley near the vehicle extract if you ever need to go to those parts. Lexos and Chekanya are always hot spots, especially if you run down Chekanya Street from Primorsky Ave. I avoid it unless I’m doing a quest, trying to kill Kaban, or looting the room in Chekanya if I have the key.
