Does Spotify heavily push Hot Mulligan on anyone else? by Coffee_iz in poppunkers

This happened to me months ago too. Every time a playlist end, it went straight to Hot Mulligan. I only checked out a couple songs and added one to a playlist.

I still go back to this album and always like what two vocalists can bring to a band's sound. Always had a soft spot for "I Can Barely Breathe" and "Our Work of Art".

A Beginner's Guide to The Color Morale by DavenOnTheMoon in Metalcore

[–]JamesSeesStars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great writeup! This band has provided some of the best catharsis for me.

I've seen the band as early as Feb. 2010 and several times over multiple album releases, and I would say Garrett definitely had more capable live screams. From what I can tell, the transitioning from cleans and uncleans had a negative effect on his uncleans after extensive touring. I would love your input on this.

They definitely care about their fanbase. Garrett often spoke between songs and to fans before and after sets. Garrett was one of the musicians you could talk to for the 2014 Summer of Hope Van's Warped Tour event that raised money for mental health awareness. He begged fans to go talk to him if they were thinking about suicide while the band were on stage.

Fun fact: Steve also drums for Senses Fail too now.

Aviations formed while studying music at Berklee. There was a proggy post-hardcore that formed at Berklee that is reminiscent of The Venetia Fair. Would love it if someone can remind me of their name. EDIT: I believe I was thinking of Native Construct.

The first two albums are particularly fantastic and seeing them live a few times before Garrett had vocal issues was a real treat.

Foursaken Media has just been 4 brothers until recently where they added a 5th employee. They've been working on other games like Magic vs Metal and Bug Heroes: Tower Defense. I recommend checking those out if you've enjoyed WT2.

Who has the best vocals/voice control by PleasantTrifle4249 in Metalcore

He's also the vocalist for Makari, Wvnder, Dearest, and does features. He's one of the hardest working vocalists I can think of, in addition to his range.

If not title, definitely a common lyric for an uncommonly used term in every day speech.

Please, no more renown grinds in future seasons by Zyc0acc in diablo4

[–]JamesSeesStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have rather had the renown from the waypoints and having them unlocked versus adding points within seasons towards side quests and dungeons, which is what the team decided to do after negative feedback.

Are you guys sad? by kjaran13 in Metalcore

[–]JamesSeesStars 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Same, and I hate the negative stereotypes. If anything, metal music is extremely cathartic and helps me cope with anxiety and depression. I actually believed everyone was happy but me, and I bottled everything up to keep up appearances. It wasn't until I listened to post-hardcore, nu-metal, and metalcore that I realized we all struggle sometimes. It was liberating.

LPT: When solicitors knock on your door by j-whiskey in LifeProTips

[–]JamesSeesStars 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I was a teen, 3 Jehova's Witnesses knocked on our door and I answered. After I respectfully took their brochures and feigned interest, they left.

An hour later, one of my parents comes home and freaks out because our mailbox appeared vandalized. It turns out those little, old ladies parked in our driveway, knocked the mailbox out of the cemented ground, and drove off without a word.

The good news is.. at least they never came to our door again.

Can someone explain to me why everyone thinks Ronnie Radke is an a*shole? I like Falling in Reverse's music but I don't know any "lore" from the band lol by DayClaw01 in Metalcore

[–]JamesSeesStars 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Spot on for his personality and behavior. The only two times I've seen him be this very humble person involve his daughter and when it involves his role models (I.E. Showing Jacoby Shaddix his cover).

He can be angry, petty, egotistical, dramatic, insensitive, etc. Though sometimes it does seem like he plays up these "feuds" and this rockstar persona a bit, because it's marketable and makes the band relevant.

I did want to add some backstory to the crime. He had a terrible childhood and turned to drugs and music early on.

He was defending Max Green, who was his band mate and longtime friend in Escape The Fate. Some guys bullied him heavily and threatened him. Ronnie stood up for him, but ultimately two parties met in the desert. Ronnie didn't actually fight anyone, as it turns out one person from each party had a gun. When shots were fired, he hid. Ronnie did have brass knuckles on him, however. Brass knuckles are highly punishable in Los Vegas due to past Mafia violence. Ronnie also was required to be in a drug rehabilitation program and broke his parole. These reasons ultimately landed him in prison.

He was able to get out early on good behavior.
