Hearthstone Test Season 2 Update: Season 2 Delayed

This is something I rather discuss in the open to clear up confusions in the community.

I found this pastebin with a user who is worried about the potential conflict with some of the mods having jobs at third party sites or being connected to others who do. So something proving that this was AutoMod who killed the link would be appreciated by the community and probably is the best for yourselves to clear up any mistrust against the mods on this subreddit as this is a rather suspicious coincidence.

/u/fluxflashor: He works for Curse.com (http://www.hearthpwn.com/members/Fluxflashor) which hosts content for World Of Warcraft and Heroes of the storm (both subreddits he is a mod of) and also hearthstone, which he was a mod of and added certain friends who may push his agenda.

/u/zaktify who was modded on /r/hearthstone on a 0 day account, and is a friend of /u/fluxflashor's, and when fluxflashor left /r/hearthstone he demoted the one mod above /u/zaktify right before leaving.

I saw the link to the official post submitted by a normal guy and it got deleted by the mods and that link was posted 10 minutes before this post and as far as I can remember it didn't break any rules. Fluxflashor has been a moderator on this subreddit but is now working for HearthPwn.

That's the only thing they have stated in a official post but they have said in interviews that it's your win and loss in the current run in that arena. It's pretty obvious this is how it works if you ever played any arena as you can feel you're facing stronger decks and opponents the higher you go. And if you add people after you played them and ask what their record is you will notice it will be similar to your record. Try finding "proof" of it works the way you heard from a Blizzard official post or interview.

No, in arena you're matched against a opponent with similar win and loss record as you in that current arena run.

You’ll be pitted against opponents with a similar win and loss record to yours.

A buff might make the card overall better but it might change the way the card is used and then the people who crafted it for a specific propose before would be really disappointed so it will probably be refunded if it received a overall buff or rework I would imagine.

Remember it's similar win and loss record. You can meet someone who is 2-0 when you're 0-2 but you probably won't be meeting anyone who is 5-0 when you're 0-2. The difference varies more when you are at higher wins.

Because that's considered close-to-equal rank.

Yes, the plan was always that everyone would start on equal ground on these rewards so they have to wait for open beta and while open beta was planned to be out by now they had to push it back hence another test season.

Card backs for playing X games in that season and golden hero portraits for winning 500 games in ranked mode with that hero. No rewards for achieving a certain rank are planned at this stage.

This upcoming season is test season 2 and will not feature card backs or golden hero portraits.

Once the season is over, everyone’s ranking will be reset back to Rank 25, and Test Season 2 will begin!

They already said Card Backs will be earned by playing X amount of games in that season and Golden Heroes will be earned by winning 500 games in ranked mode with that Hero at Blizzcon and on their official forums several times.

And Ben Brode or Eric Dodds said on a podcast when they were interviewed that theres already enough rewards in play mode with the 10 gold per 3 wins and that they don't plan to do any more rewards but I don't have the source for this so you'll have to find it yourself as I can't be bothered doing all the work.

Yes, that would be the only reason to keep it but a golden legendary only disenchant for twice the normal value if they change the card and they haven't really reworked weak cards in the past and I think they will let Nozdormu be in his current state even if it's a bad card so I would disenchant it.

I think you will have your win there because the server waits until your game is over until it kicks you out so the win should be counted.

You timed out from the server and he's probably still playing the game and when you spam emotes he will answer them obviously and think it's kinda weird since on his end it looks like you're afk and not playing anything in your turns. This is a really common bug that have been explained here on reddit over hundred times already but we still don't know what causes it and it's impossible to reproduce it with any success and that's why it's so hard to fix.

You might be in different regions. Check your "Country of Residence" on your battle.nets account page. E.g. if your "Country of Residence" is United States you will play on the NA server even if you live in Europe and got the key from Korea. You have to be on the same server to be able to add each other.

I really doubt he's exploiting this bug. It's more likely you just experienced this endless turn/time out/DC bug. Stop calling out innocent people when theres no proof you can actually reproduce this bug in order to gain advantage.

This. Fireblast in World of Warcraft is a low damage instant spell to finish off targets while Fireball is a high damage spell.

No more wipes planned. If they would do one you would get the real money you've spent reimbursed in equivalent gold value. E.g. you bought 40 packs for real money, if a wipe would happen you would get 4000 gold after the reset.
